The ceiling fans installed were the ones like this, not the huggers. Attachment DeletedHowever there were the huggers we were talking about earlier installed on the ceiling fan display. Back when Walmart actually had a ceiling fan display. I remember there was one 36" white hugger on display with only 3 out of 4 blades put on the fan. Yet they still had the fan on. It shook the whole display. I feel like I may have pictures of the ceiling fan display at Walmart but I'd have to try and look for them, I took them many years ago. They're not even digital photos. To answer your question. All Walmarts tend to be different. Mine at the time had only a drop ceiling and wasn't very big. Now there's a warehouse type of ceiling in the food center and the rest of the store still has a drop ceiling. Also I went to another Walmart close by that I hardly ever go to given the other Walmart I took pictures at is closer. But I took pictures of their ceiling fan selection, if you would like to see them let me know. There are a couple of different ceiling fans there that weren't at the last Walmart I showed you pictures of.

Did they have any brass or traditional style fans for sale?
That is absolutely hilarious that there was only 3 of the blades there.. That is something I'd sure like to see pictures of lol
Now that I'm thinking about it,, this information connects a lot of dots.. I have sightings of fans that looked like Littletons but always appeared to be a bit smaller and faster.. That would make sense that they're 36".. and given the location they're installed, I could certainly see them coming from somewhere cheap.. In the next few weeks I'll attempt to dig out those pictures and get them posted,, if they're not already in my sightings thread.. They may be.. I'll have to take a look.. If a weeks or two goes by and I don't post them,, feel free to remind me because I probably forgot..

However I do remember there being that 5 blade Home Elegance / Chapter ceiling fan in brass for sale. They had another builder fan, it was pretty much the same thing except it didn't have the light. Lol I know right. I'll take a look and see if I have the pictures. It was a very very long time ago though. Yeah that's probably it. Because Littletons as far as I know never came in 36" just 42" yeah please do post them if you can. I wouldn't mind seeing them. Plus I'd probably be able to tell you if they're Aloha Breeze or not. Just wondering, was it SMC that made the Hampton Bay Littleton?

The earliest Littetons were SMC made,, however I'm not sure about the ones following and the current versions.. Max C would know..

I'll try looking for those Walmart pics as well. I like the Littletons with Hampton Bay on the switch housing. I'm trying to get one from my neighbor they have it in their dining room. I wish Littletons were made in brass and cane blades. That would look really cool. I should browse around the SMC website and see if they made any. I know they made cane Landmarks.

In the dining room? That's probably the last place I'd expect to see a Littleton lol
True they would definitely look better in brass with cane blades.. I think just about anything of that style would..

I'll have to make a post about it. Yeah I know right. It's a weird install. They used to have the original school house light with the Hampton Bay chain polls but they switched it with a triple light kit and different chain polls. Weird part is the chain polls are shaped just like Hampton Bay chain polls accept they're plastic and don't say Hampton Bay on them. I'm going to try and search for this. I'm sure SMC made it or made something like it at once point or another. In your opinion what Littletons are better? The 1998 Littleton or the 2000 Littleton?

What's the difference between the two? I don't know that much about Littletons and the different versions..

I would have to go with the 2000 model because it is a fair bit more interesting and has pronounced SMC characteristics.. The 1998 one is very plain and typical.. Odd how they went from that design to the 2000 design, then back to the 1998..

I'd have to agree with you although I like them both. But like you said it is strange how they went back to the 1998 version. I actually thought the 2000 version was much older than the 1998 version specifically because of that reason. Hampton Bay always seems to do strange things. They have 2 Minuet II's, they have the Florentine series in which none of the fans look even remotely similar to the last model, they have the Grayton 1.5, the Huntington II and the Huntington III have very slight differences, and those are all the ones I can think of off the top of my head. But I actually like that they've done some of those things, it makes it a lot more interesting. For me anyways.

I currently have a 36" white one and a 42" white one. The 42" ones that I think are interesting are the brass ones because they look like a brass Littleton. Other than that they're nothing special. I only got the white one because it had a low price. Personally, I would have to disagree. Any fan which can possess such profoundly low-quality deserves notoriety in my opinion! The earliest Littetons were SMC made,, however I'm not sure about the ones following and the current versions.. Max C would know.. It depends. Home Depot has used two main manufacturers (SMC and Air Cool) to produce the Littleton depending on the year. The first Littleton - sold in approximately 1996 - was indeed SMC. In 1998, that switched to Air Cool and then back to SMC sometime afterwards. This "filp-flop" pattern continued for years after until 2008. To my knowledge, every Littleton since then has been related to SMC. It is worth noting that some dependency exists regarding alternate manufacturers. Compass East Industries (CEI) may have been associated with the Littleton, however I am not 100 percent certain that a connection exists. In contrast, Home Depot Canada has exclusively used SMC until 2009. At this time, there was a transition away from SMC and towards Air Cool. The current Canadian Littleton is Air Cool-made. As for the Littletons heres some pictures 2000 1998 That is amazingly incorrect. Any SMC-made Hampton Bay Littleton manufactured in and after the year 2000 uses a white motor, not black. The "1998" version you posted is far newer. In fact, it was actually manufactured after 2008...

So throughout the years, Littletons are built with either reasonable quality, or horrible bearings?
