Since I don't have any grease on hand, that's going to be another expense. At this point since I will have to buy something to make this work, I'd rather go the route of what I know will solve the problem for sure, which would be the new bearings. This weekend I'm going to try to get the bearings and puller to finally finish this.

Grease costs a dollar or two for a full tube the same size as a tube of caulk. This is all stuff you'll need in the future.

Love it! Love Caribbean Breeze style fans in general, can never have too many. I can tell they're great fans, even though this particular one is not the greatest at the moment...very powerful. I'm sure once I get the bearings replaced I'll love it too
