On second thought, just looking at Daniel's Alaron hugger, these fans are much worse quality and look like 4-blade only Encon/Westinghouse casanovas. I've stood under an Alaron hugger(identical to the one Daniel has), and they are actually good air movers!

Hampton bay is a relabel, but these huggers look like something made by Alaron. Did Encon make fans for Alaron? I've never heard of Alaron before, I'll have to do some more research tonight if I have time to see if I can find out.

I can assure you they're not Encon nor Westinghouse. I've never seen them running, so can't testify to their quality. Based on the dust accumulated on them, they don't look like they were used much. That having been said, they sure do look like Alarons.

At first I thought those hampton bays were alaron made because I forgot how sturdy Alaron Fans are, but the Hampton bay fans are actually worse. I remember standing under one of those Alaron huggers; RPMs were disappointing, but the fan actually did move good airflow; I'd say around 5,500 CFM's. Alaron fans actually are sturdy fans. Yea the hampton bay fans in the pic resemble Alarons, but looking at how skinny and narrow everything looks, these fans look more Heritage/encon than anything.

Attachment Deleted Looks like a 4/5 blade version of the Hampton Bay fans in the garage. Attachment Deleted Looks a little bit different from the garage fans Looks very similar to the Westinghouse Casanova in the link.

Except for Daniel's Alaron, none of the imagines are viewable. Alaron is also just a relabel, I'd be curious to know who actually makes that Alaron fan. I don't think my pictures are really good enough to tell, when I saw them in person, I didn't notice that the blades seemed particularly skinny. But, they also didn't seem impressively wide either.

Closely comparing the two fans side-by-side, I can tell you that they are probably unrelated. The vents on the motor housing on the Alaron are slightly different from the Hampton Bay's. Also, the screws holding the motor housing to the mounting bracket are spaced differently.

It probably wouldn't be SMC though. Hampton Bay's of this age that were SMC-made usually had fairly pronounced SMC characteristics, unlike the fans shown here.

These don't really resemble SMC whatsoever. In that case, I guess I'll go with Kind of Fans for now, until we find out anything else.

Cool install! Did you feel a decent amount of air when they were running?

Cool install! Did you feel a decent amount of air when they were running? There are 4 of them in a row, it is a really cool install! I wish I could get a picture of them all together but there was too much stuff in the way. When they were running, yes! They move a ton of air!
