Very cool fans Tais! SMC is one of my favorite makes. I'll have to watch all the videos.

I have a SMC K56 fan that stopped working after 10 years. Is the square black module attached to the wires a wireless receiver?
I am going to bypass the module to see if the blades will spin. If that works, how can I find another module? The PN did not come up online.
I dig well made fans.

I dig well made fans. that square black module is the capacitor of the ceiling fan, responsible for the rotation of the motor i believe there are 2 possible scenarios to the issue here, first: the capacitor is damaged and will need to be replaced (find one with the same value as the old capacitor, they are usually sold for a cheap price) second, hoping its not the case here: the motor is burned, without disassembling the motor, you can check the lead wires using a multimeter to check for resistivity, if you got values from each wire lead to the other, then the fan is working.. if one of them doesnt show any resistivity, then its damaged, either burned or having an open circuit.. in case the motor is burned, there is nothing much to do other than discard the motor or rewind the whole motor which can be costly
