Why would you want a dimmer on it? I'd rather have a three-way function chain on it. That's kind of unusual to have any pendants come with used fans, the one ones on there look good. Simple. Incandescent bulbs don't last long and are quite inefficient. A dimmer would solve those problems though.

Incandescents FTW screw that Liberal CFL crap. Mitch, although I agree that banning incandescent bulbs was a stupid idea, I still use CFL bulbs as they last a lot longer and save on electricity. You do realize that was a Bush policy, yes? Not to start a political debate here, however it indeed was Bush who enacted that law. Same goes with wattage limiters.

Simple. Incandescent bulbs don't last long and are quite inefficient. A dimmer would solve those problems though. Complicated. A dimmer does not improve efficiency, it just makes it darker. Incandescents FTW screw that Liberal CFL crap. My house is full of incandescent lights, I buy them out whenever I see them in stores because once the supply is gone, its gone and I'm not putting up with this CFL nonsense either. Mitch, although I agree that banning incandescent bulbs was a stupid idea, I still use CFL bulbs as they last a lot longer and save on electricity. They did that in Canada too? They "banned" them here too, stores are allowed to sell their current stock (of which I have been buying most of it) but they are not allowed to get in any new shipments. I've found that the CFLs do not last any longer than regular bulbs, in fact I replace way more CFLs than incandescents around my house. Because of this, I wonder if you really save any money in the end. Even if you did save money, its not worth the frustration in my opinion. You do realize that was a Bush policy, yes? Not to start a political debate here, however it indeed was Bush who enacted that law. Same goes with wattage limiters. Oh no! Not the politics again! As much as I'm not into Obama, to be fair I'm not thrilled with Bush either...

A beautiful ceiling fan? I don't know about that. My other problem with the listing is if you're going to list it as "mint", take 30 seconds and wipe the dust off...

Very nice vintage Banvil.
I don't think the last one is a Quorum. It's probably more an uncommon Westinghouse. Nadair had a fan similar to this at some point.

I like the banvil Ge Vent fan the best. I would get it if I had the money.

Very nice vintage Banvil. If only I had the space I guess it would be a pre-1985 model? I don't think the last one is a Quorum. It's probably more an uncommon Westinghouse. Nadair had a fan similar to this at some point. Westinghouse fits...

With this metal bell canopy, yes it would be from somewhere around 1980-1984. I believe some of the first ball & socket Banvils appeared only in 1985 for the first time. 4 Saisons had them as early as 1982.

I never knew Four Seasons/Saisons used ball and socket canopies that early. Would they have appeared on their GE-vents?

That’s a nice one! But the canopy seems like an odd shape… What is this? vancouver.craigslist.ca/rds/hsh/4858944506.html A ceiling fan…what did you think it was? New in box Canarm CF36-1L: vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/hsh/4860607475.html I want that! Quorum I'd guess: vancouver.craigslist.ca/bnc/hsh/4857794028.html No guesses from me, never seen one before.
