I have seen a few sellers add "electric" in their titles for whatever reason. To be fair, the first ceiling fans were water-powered, however there is no reason to specify that it requires electricity today. I highly doubt they know that.. As a fan collector even I have yet to see such a contraption..

Maybe they installed a microscopic petrol-electric fuel converter in there ! Whatever you say... I highly doubt they know that.. As a fan collector even I have yet to see such a contraption.. That is true. A more likely explanation is that they moved from a country where electricity is still considered a luxury.

That is true. A more likely explanation is that they moved from a country where electricity is still considered a luxury. I suppose that could be the case, but even then, what other type of ceiling fan is there besides electric?

I suppose that could be the case, but even then, what other type of ceiling fan is there besides electric? Apparently, this is gas-powered:

Apparently, this is gas-powered: That is quite an oddity,, from where did that picture come? I would be interesting in knowing how exactly that works..

The last one is a Quatre Saisons XX Siècle like the ones I saw in Toronto last October. Very nice fans! Normally it should not have those brackets though.

Still wish I grabbed one of these when I had the chance I did encourage you, no How rude! I think that is a very nice piece I have worked with several of these in the past. Although the included motor is a mere 153X10, they are surprisingly powerful.

I did encourage you, no Sure, after the opportunity had already passed!
I have worked with several of these in the past. Although the included motor is a mere 135X10, they are surprisingly powerful. Is there a typo there? If not, that really is quite shameful! What about the not-included motor?

Is there a typo there? If not, that really is quite shameful! What about the not-included motor? There was, in fact. The actual size is 153X10.
