Ok now think about this for a second. If Adam had one exactly like it in his gallery, why would he be bidding on it? Why would he be asking questions about it as though he'd never seen one before if he already had one? In any case it has been stated that they are different brands.
Read the entire thread carefully, and think for a minute, before you post.

The canopy housing is Encon. I found a ceiling fan on Ebay just like the one i saw. It had the canopy of a Hunter Original but the fan was Encon, and this one is no different.

Was it a 6 blade fan with S shaped vents? I saw it. It also appeared to be made by Evergo. I almost bid on it, I was in Atlanta around the time it was being sold. But even that canopy appears to be slightly different than the Supreme Fan one. We'll know for sure when Adam gets the fan

Yes, that fan did have six blades. The fan was obviously an Encon. One of the pictures showed the make and model in it. And one more thing, Encon is basicly the exact same as Westinghouse.

Did you save the pictures from the auction? If you did, please email them to me mtneuman@mailbag.com 2. I know it said Encon on it, however it might have been made by the same company than made Evergo and marketed as an Encon. I know fans made by that company were marketed under all kinds of names, and also fans with the Encon name were made my many different companies over the past 10-20 years. Which brings me to: 3. Encon is not "the same thing" as Westinghouse. Whatever company used to make Encon (80s, early 90s) were very good fans. Then they switched to a different manufacturer (which was somehow linked to Design House, SMC, and later Moss fans) and started selling crap. In the late 90s Angelo Bros bought out Encon, and subsequently Westinghouse bought out Angelo Bros. Now they still make crap, but it's slightly less crappy crap than was made under the Angelo Bros name.
