I just got back from a 3 day vacation in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. While I was there, I made it a point to get pics of any cool fans I saw. On the way to Charleston, I stopped at the Dan's Fan City in Columbia. The guy that worked there was really nice, and knew a lot about fans. It had been 14 years since I last went to a DFC so this was quite a nostalgic experience for me. Here's some pics of the store and fans: The front of the store Just as you walk in Gulf Coast Uno, couldn't feel much air coming from it The new DC-3. Apparently they're still working the kinks out of these motors and controls, and this one has issues. Cool Green/AB Gulf Coast Meridian Chrome Dixie Belle Some random shots around the store And the Dan's Fan City truck! At the Tanger Outlet Mall in North Charleston, there were a bunch of Quorum Dragonflies in the food court: Some Fanimation Islanders at R.B.'s Seafood And there were some Fanimation Brewmasters in the bar area I Found a Walmart that still has a fan display, of course the fans are still crap At the Charleston City Market, there were probably a hundred or more of these Hunter Charthouses Next, at Kilwin's, there were these GE vent fans with hunter brackets (probably replacements) and hunter silent breeze/quiet breeze with non-original blades and brackets And last but certainly not least, a chestnut brown Hunter Original in the men's restroom at a rest stop near Columbia

The Hunter is a Quiet Breeze II, I can tell by the thin vents.

Good pics. Dan's Fan City looks like a neat place...I love that chrome Dixie Belle! The Hunter is a Quiet Breeze II, I can tell by the thin vents. Yep, Quiet Breeze II. I have one identical to it sans the light kit and replacement parts!

Wow! Nice sightings! Hard to believe you haven't been to DFC in 14 years. Did you get a catalog? The Islanders really fit the atmosphere of the restaurant. The Originals don't belong in a restroom, surprised they're not ruined yet.

Nice fan sightings! Yeah my Walmart use to have a fan display. Not anymore.. I miss it when i was younger when Walmart had better fans in Display in the early 90's then Todays fans. wow.. That DC-3 modern thing looks kinda like a Emerson Strato Jet. Very intresting. I like the Chrome Dixie Belle and The Hunter Original.
