Yeah I was thinking the same thing which was part of why I didn't bother to dispute it.

Had one more loaner a 2020 Kia Soul. The styling is not exactly me but I absolutely loved that car. Had good power for a 4cyl and I actually didn’t mind the CVT. I absolutely loathe CVT’s but Hyundai/Kias was actually good. I’ve driven Toyota’s, Honda’s, and nissans with one and wanted to barf this one actually was smooth and was a good imitator of an automatic. I don’t know longevity how it would hold up as automatics seem to be bulletproof comparably.

I've never driven a Kia or Hyundai but I have rode in the Soul and it felt really roomy for its size, and I like how they sit upright more like an SUV. My neighbor across the street bought one last year and I still can't figure out what color it is. LOL It's a really neat color, sometimes it looks blue and sometimes it looks green or dark gray depending on how the sun is on it. I really liked the 2011-14 Sonata and 2012-2015 Optima as well, I think those looked the best yet. I like the styling of the 2015+ as well but the newest gen hasn't grown on me yet.

That was another thing so much room for such a short vehicle and the visibility was great which a lot of Cuvs are horrible. I love the colors that do that lol. The optima I’ve never been drawn too I like those Sonatas and then I feel like the 2015 brought it to boringville. The 2018 update was a beautiful update but the 2.4 gdi theta engine is the problem with them. The newLy redesigned Sonata rear I find hideous the front is ok it’s really in person it seems To be more appealing then online. White I keep seeing them in. Ever since 2011 I’ve found the Elantra to be an excellent looking vehicle up to the 2021 redesign. We have our 2018 and my wife loves it. I’ve been kicking the idea of buying a leftover 2020 as a third vehicle for us as I miss having an extra/weekend car. Plus it could help me lower the miles on my Tacoma which I drive way too much.

I liked the 2011+ Elantra also. When I was at my prior job when those and the Optima/Sonata were new I wanted one. But I'm glad I waited until end of 2018 to trade as there was no point to it back then and I would have really racked up the miles on whatever I bought since I drove a lot more back then.
One of my friends used to have an older Elantra, I think a 2004 or 2005, which is what I consider to be before Hyundai and Kia really started to step it up in the late 2000s/early 2010s. It was actually quite a comfortable car and the interior was pretty nice too, had leather seats, sunroof, etc and it got great mileage. I liked it. Unfortunately it ended up having an electrical problem which they never could find and later she needed a bigger vehicle so got a Ford Freestar.
At least here, they only sell Kias, if you want to buy a new Hyundai you'd have to drive all the way to where Legoland is, almost two hours away. When I was trading I found a used Sonata I really wanted to test drive there but I didn't want to drive that far if it needed to go back to the dealer. Here our Kia dealer years ago was actually Chrysler-Jeep-Kia in an old 80s Chrysler building with the pentastar window up top (but no Dodges!) so you could look at a Chrysler Town and Country in the showroom right next to the Kia Sedonas. LOL Then they made that their fleet sales dealer and moved Kia to its own dealership and stopped selling Chrysler-Jeep. You have to go out of town since to look at new Chrysler/Jeep/Dodges.
IDK, the new Sonatas and Optimas to me are too new and weird looking, but I'm sure after seeing them for a few years they will look normal, that's how I am with cars. At first I really dislike the new styling and then it grows on me.

The Elantra has always seemed to be one of the best models regardless of generation. My in-laws had a 2001 Sonata they bought brand new and put 180k on it. They scrapped it at 185k since the dealer was offering them half of what scrap value was lol.
Wow! Thats pretty far. The dealer we bought our Elantra from and have had warranty work is one hour away exactly. I don't mind going there as we have two dealers that are shady as can be about 25 minutes from my house either way. Theres another dealer that is half decent about 40 minutes from here but the service department is useless. Kia dealer wise we have two the ones ok from what I hear but they deal with a lot of low credit scores and feed off of that and the other sells Chevys and Subarus and other then Sorento's I've never seen a Kia from there dealer with a sticker or license plate holder.
Its hard to think with pre FCA Chrysler and the RAM split that a dealer wouldn't have the Dodge Brand as that was the bread and butter brand. Thats cool though it had the pentastar window I'm nostalgic for 1980's Chrysler stuff (even though I wasn't alive then) Its strange Kia and Hyundai are the same but Hyundai its like yes they were junk but have gotten much better but then Kia's I still get this cheap car/subprime buyer taste in my mouth.
I'm the same way with style its rare I like the new one. 10 years ago I usually am like oh the new ones so much better but styling has gotten so over the top anymore its hard to like it at first and then now anymore theres cars take the 2016+ Tacomas, from the side and front looks fine a little too modern for me but I could live with it when I need a new truck but the tailgate/rear is stupidly designed and hopefully the embossed make or model thing on tailgates leaves us soon.

You know what year it I’m curious how the 2020 is with the new smaller V6 and the Daimler Made Transmission. Really surprised they did this in the what will be old body style Instead of with the redesigned one.

I can’t believe they’re still producing everything with that junk CVT made by Jatco.

Someone at my work had a Ford Ranger extended cab and about a year ago got a Frontier extended cab. I like the Nissan Frontiers since nobody else really makes a true compact pickup anymore. Chevy/GMC and Ford are all mid sized now as well as the Toyota and with Mazda and Isuzu no longer making trucks. My dad and grandfather both had 90s Nissan hardbody King Cabs. Loved those trucks.

If someone (not Nissan or fca) made a regular cab real compact truck again.. 6’ bed and a v6 there will be one purchased immediately.
