This is random, but do you ever rent cars? What was the last car you rented and what did you think of it? I actually have a list of cars I can remember renting:
-2003 Pontiac Grand Am Coupe -2004 Jeep Liberty Sport V6 -2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo -2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo V8 -2006 Ford F-150 XLT SuperCrew -2006 Ford Explorer XLT -2006 Chrysler Town & Country Touring -2007 Ford Freestyle SEL -2008 Dodge Charger SE -2008 Hyundai Santa Fe GLS V6 -2011 Nissan Altima Sedan 2.5 S -2012 Ford F-150 XLT SuperCrew -2012 Ford Fusion SEL V6
The last car we (my family) rented was the 2012 Ford Fusion. I liked it.

Last one we rented was in like 1999 and I don't even know what it was. We're not too big on the rentals especially now with my mom being less mobile, we prefer to use our own vehicle.

I like to rent for one of three reasons:
1.) To drive the latest vehicles that my parents wouldn't regularly purchase. 2.) To have a car when I go on vacation to get around in. 3.) To have a car when our cars are in for service (the Grand Am, the Liberty, the Grand Cherokees, the F-150's, the Explorer, and Fusion were all rented for that reason).

In the U.S. you have to be 25 to rent a car, but you still can be 21-24 and rent a car. However, they limit your car choices to cars only (no trucks, no SUV's, no vans) and the raters are a bit higher. Therefore I'm not elligible to rent a car.

However, they limit your car choices to cars only (no trucks, no SUV's, no vans) and the raters are a bit higher. Therefore I'm not elligible to rent a car. In Orlando these rules vary from agency to agency. Hertz near the airport won't rent to anyone under 25 but if you're married, they waive that policy in exchange of a higher premium rate between 25 to 30% higher than their day rate. If is in the (heavy) tourist season, you see much higher premium and limitations. Now, if you want to rent from a Hertz Local Edition (car dealership) forget it, that's a whole different ball game. You might just use public transportation instead. They won't even talk to you (figure speech) unless you have full cover premium insurance, a credit card with at least $2,000 in available credit for their pre-authorization hold you're not driving out of their lot with one of their vehicles. Enterprise is restricted to drivers under 25 as well but not like Hertz or Avis. Still, neither agencywill rent you a luxury sedan or a full-size SUV. The reason they do this is all based on compiled data.

Back to your topic., the last rental I took out was an Infiniti G37 that was destined for the airport location and somehow it ended up in the local agency because my initial vehicle (Chevy Cruze) was no where to be found. I don't like Japanese cars aside from the LS460, but It was a fun car to drive.

Wow, I've never had anything that nice, Perrey. And if I needed a rental car when I was 21 then I'd take what they gave me. My local rental places usually have nice standard-class cars (Dodge Dart, Chevy Spark, Nissan Altima, Ford Fusion, and Mazda 6, just to name a few). I'd be happy with any car they gave me. (:

Last car we rented was a 2007ish Toyota 4Runner on our Florida trip back in 2007. Seemed like a decent SUV. Much would have preferred a Ford , but it was good.

On my Honeymoom we had a 2016 Nissan Altima loved it minus the CVT.
Had a loaner 2019 Hyundai Tucson while my wife’s car was being repaired. It was nice, my wife hated it.
Had a 2020 Jeep Wrangler while my wife’s car was being serviced again we both loved it but don’t love the price maybe one day 😉

I had a 2014 Dodge Charger SE when my previous car was in the body shop for about two months. Only things I didn't like was it did not have a backup camera or bluetooth, but it was a nice car. That's the only rental I've had.

I could live with one as a third weekend car but no way as a daily driver. The things I didn’t like were my shoulders literally were pushed up against the glass it felt like, the bumpiness you could really feel amazing how smooth my truck is comparably, and the steering I felt was loose.

Yeah I don't know I'd want one as a daily driver. But they are nice and unique cars! The only thing I didn't like with my rental experience was despite the fact I completely vacuumed, detailed and washed the Charger before I returned it, they still gave me a cleaning fee on my credit card when I returned it! The car needed nothing and actually looked better than it did when I got it! I was going to call and ask why the charge, but since the insurance paid for a rental for two months I decided to let it go.

That makes me wonder if it’s a time Thing like if you have it for a certain period of time it automatically gives you that add on.
