I think the Hunter Original at Home Depot installed on the rack is worth looking at.. That is all... The rest needs to be put through the mulcher.. One of those machines that turns tree branches into mulch..

I'll give Lowe's and HD credit for at least starting to take design cues from the big players. The tiffany shade mission lamp fan is cool. I've also noticed a trend toward 4 blades again, which is sort of step in the retro direction. Wonder when six will catch on again, it would be cool to see a modern version of a Homestead Wind or Wind II I agree still a lot of crappy ass fans there but at least a baby step in the right direction for those retailers which doesn't mean much since that's what Casablanca has been putting out for the past decade or so. Remember when Builder's Square had the Forever fan and it was a good quality decent fan with a stack motor? That's kind of where they need to go again but of course keeping with modern tastes. That's my take anyway.

Nothing compares to vintage, but I think that Revel Island, a very strange design, could be used extremely effectively in a really futuristic setting where absolutely no other fan would be such a focal point. Most of these aren't my cup of tea.
