while browsing earlier about orient fans i ended up finding some very interesting about orient fans and ceiling fan industry in india
i always thought matsushita electric were the first ones to introduce the motor casings, but it turned out that orient fans were the first fans to be introduced with motor casings in 1965, the casing were iron, unlike today's plastic
in 1965, orient fans also introduced a semi automatic winding machine process in the indian fan industry
