Here's another picture of the wires not looking like spaghetti. Where it says white/Red/blue leads are where wires look to be snipped.. same wires in first picture that are visible..

I got it now, with this figure, I got the fan to power on.. There is also two different three step pull switches that were in the box with the fan.. They were purchased separate from the fan, and thrown in the box with the fan, one of them may have been on the fan it onetime, as the nut part of the pull switch was in the switch housing compartment.. This may have reverse somehow..

Glad you got it working! That's an early model ornate A52 with an actual vent screen! (:

Awesome score! I would guess if you grab one of your Lagunas that is pull chain reverseable and take it apart, you can see how it hooks up since the setups should be the same. I'll get pics of the wiring of my Laguna if you want If you don't have everything figured out already.

I got it, Long White = Lead.. White to White = Forward White Lead to Red = Reverse The other switch was in the baggie with springs and parts and a chain that was pulled out.. Must have been the original pull.. They even had a little note which did me no good seeing how no wires were coming out of the pull switch.. At one time someone must have used this fan.. For a short period of time because it's in mint condition.

Cool, Kind of dumb that the original owner removed the pull switch. Maybe to try to replace another?

They removed the original pull because it must have broke.. Look at the pictures, it shows the old one and the package of the new one, after I opened it and installed it.. What gets me is that an idiot decided to cut the wires right close to the clamped nuts to remove the old one.. Now I'm going to have a massive attack seeing how they did that. Sons of B!t#hes..

Really great, just like mine! Those blades are gorgeous... I have the box to one of Dan's, just like that one I think.
Yup, pullchain reverses on the long switch housing models (at least based on mine).

I had a hell of a time stuffing the switch housing back, especially with the thick wire I used from the leads off the pull switch.. This fan was purchased at K-mart. It has the old K-mart logo on a sticker..

Very nice find, and I'm glad you got it working! It's really annoying when you find out that someone screwed up the wiring in the switch housing of a fan...that was the case for my Crest 2000 Series I got back in '09...wires were yanked out, and a few were completely missing...

God, I'm out of it today, at first your pictures were not showing up. My apologies. It is annoying to fix other people's mistakes. Glad you have it figured out.

That was my mistake.. I edited the post and added pictures.. You saw it before I added the pictures.. I mentioned the pictures so you could see them.. The reverse is much faster on this fan..

The fast reverse is how my Laguna seems to operate as well. Strange, since most fans with speeds that differ based on direction go slower on reverse...
