I used to have the brown Carroway, I traded it to Sean who traded it to someone else (I believe) so it's out there somewhere and can be painted white.

There were 6, they originally were in place of the Huntingtons. Don't know where the 6th one went, but there's only 5 now. Maybe it was scrapped because most of them have severe wobbling problems. The blades don't seem that misaligned though. Next time I go there I'll inquire about them.

So the 6 white fans were originally installed downstairs, they replaced them with the Huntingtons and installed 5 of the 6 upstairs. Am I correct?

The 6th one is probably long gone, but you should ask.
Do they still use them?

Yep, gets hot as hell up there. I remember when I was little when they were downstairs, when they were replaced. They temporarily stored the fans upstairs in the hallway. That was the first time I saw how a J-hook mounting system worked.

That odd they moved the fans... But also good, instead of trowing them away. Did you tried to turn them on? The room where they are seemed like there was no body up there.

No, that place doesn't have A/C. They all have variable wall switches (which I've been told isn't good), along with the ones downstairs, and the Evergo.

Do the fans downstairs buzz or make noise?
Variable wall switches is probably ok with the Carroways if they are quiet.

to me i perfer my (almost square type arms instead of the regular arms as shown on those white fans in those pics above) on any nutone fans, those square kinds look more vintage to me.

It was always interesting to me that the white/brown Slimline IIs had brass canopies, instead of matching the motor.
