I love that Zephyr. I like black Casablancas.

Humm weird Craftmade. Its a little bit like a cross between a CXL and a Saturn. Why is the Quorum so expansive, is it brand new? WOW that's a nice looking Decorative. The light kit is beautiful. You get a lot of 90s Craftmade down there. But of course Craftmade is from Texas. About the Crystal fan Marley have a similar one and it also reminds me of a British top mounted Fantasia Savannah. But this one have ugly too wide blades and a canopy too small for it. Cute Zephyr but I'm sure it home painted. That AB Concord with wood faceplate and ornate sideband was it a Concord Dynasty? I can't find a pic of them but they have ornate brackets with Asians ornate designs on the sidebands. Those are interesting looking and rare. Actually the only pic I could find its this small one: www.lampdepot.com/concord/images_fans/small/52DY5ABsm.jpgThey got discontinued not a long time ago.

To me the paint looks original to the fan and very durable. It is scratched in some places and there is bare metal underneath where it is scratched. Plus, the sticker is intact, and there is no evidence of overpaint/overspray on the screen or any of the parts. If it is home painted, they did a really good job with it.
Yes, the Concord was a Dynasty.
The Quorum isn't new, but it is in near perfect condition and is a model they still make today. Plus, a lot of times customers will gobble up ornate fans very quickly. Remember, your average Joe won't know or care about the fan's brand, so selling a new, ornate, in-style fan is much easier than trying to explain why one of the older ones in an outdated finish is a better buy.
Generally, I price fans like this: Builders of any kind; basic 80s/90s fans; any small fans - $15-30 based on condition Spinners - $20-30 Non-Original Hunters - $30-50 Fascos, NuTones, Emersons, other K55 fans - $40-80 (plastic Emersons priced cheaper) Ornate fans (up to 2000) and Casablancas - $35-85 based on age, motor, and/or quality Originals - $60-100 based on condition and features Post-2000 ornate fans - $50-120 (they can bring in a LOT of money) Antique fans - $50-75 if not running (and I can't repair); upwards of $100 if running
Also, if the fan has a light kit I'll normally add $5-10 to whatever I'd charge for it otherwise.
Automatically parted out - Heritages, Wal-Mart, bottom mount spinners; fans I can't put at least $15 on due to condition or lack of quality Parted out if no room - Lowe's builders

I would vouch that the Casablanca in black is NOT painted. My variable speed Four Seasons that is black is the EXACT same type of black finish. Nearly a mirror image. I thought mine was repainted when I got it but it clearly wasn't due to labels and all being untouched. Just a very textured finish. Thought I'd add that =)

It looks like I saw bits of white paint where the black had chipped away. I might have been mistaken.

I like the new brass Original, I'm not feeling the globes as much though, but it looks okay.
Did you have the gold rings that go on the globes of the quick-selling builder fan?
The Old Jacksonville and Fasco look great, your lucky to get such cool stuff at your Habitat, we've run dry on cool fans at mine, all builders and Hampton Bays.

Did you have the gold rings that go on the globes of the quick-selling builder fan? They were heavily tarnished and/or rusty. I don't know about the beveled glass on the Original myself, but the light kit that was on it was busted up, and since I didn't have a bottom plate I needed to put another light kit on. I happened to have this big 5-lighter in my parts stash - the beveled glass globes were on it already and I didn't have another complete set of anything that could replace them.

I see.
I think the size of the light is good, a big light can fit well on an Original, the only problem being with the long switch housing, they seem a bit disconnected from the fan. The globes aren't that bad, unless you really examine the fan.

When are you going to sell some of the fans to us ? To you - never, because you keep nagging me about it. As I've said several times before I currently have no time and no room to continually carry out transactions involving fans, which is why I'm usually not involved in buying or selling of anything between collectors in the first place. My listing of fans we have for sale, as I've mentioned before, is simply for reference and interest.
