Some really cool lights I have seen this summer.
This first pic is actually one of three taken of the fan but it includes enough of the light to show it anyway.
This was before I got into Fluorecents.
Taken last summer in the bathroom of a restaurant in SLC.
I went down to north central Arizona on vacation and saw lots of lights.
These were found in an old auto dealer showroom in Flagstaff.
They showed up again in Prescott. I can't recall where these were at.
In the town of Jerome, the post office had four of these.
All of them were missing one sideband on the same side. very odd.
In the old Jerome High school I found this little (big) ditty.
Back in flagstaff again, a very dismal looking chinese restaurant had these.
That's it for Arizona. Utah also has some neat goodies.
Up in Logan was a hispanic grocery store with these.
At the entrance to a furniture store, a very early one.
I spoted these ones through an office window.
In vernal, a small garage waiting room held these.
Somewhere in Manti, Can't remember.
In the cafeteria of the Veterans hospital in SLC.
And last but not least, the town of Millford. This place looked like it really swang back in the good 'ol days,
but the last 20 years or so have not been good. So many places were closed and most were boarded up.
Here is what I managed to see. Considering what was boarded up, plus the small size of the town, it really was quite the mecca. The places were mostly striped so I don't know what they were.
In the small post office. The lobby door was still open despite the late hour.
Well that's all. What Utah lacks in vintage fans, it makes up for in fluorecent lights.
I regret not getting interested in them in 2010, I could have had some good pictures from the midwest.
Unfortunatly we just couldn't get back this year.
I hope you enjoyed looking as much as I did finding them!
