Picked up these two while I was out with Habitat. They look like Crompton Greaves but the motors are much more square and the blades are shaped slightly different. The white one is 48" and the brown one is 56". The brackets are much longer on the white one than they would be on a Crompton Greaves, and the screw holes in the brackets where the blades attach to the motor are very close to each other on both fans. Neither fan came with a wall control or an upper canopy, let alone a way to mount it. I think Jeremy has a set of wood blades with the same brackets as the 56". Neither motor tag gives any clue as to a brand. Any ideas?

I love the 48" one. Unfortunately I have no idea as to what they could be. The motors aren't very typical, I feel like I've seen something with similar canopies before though. Remind me a bit of the 2 old industrials that used to be in the ACE Hardware near my Habitat, those didn't have blades like these though.

I have seen CG's, or at least fans identical to CG's, with those exact same blades and brackets.
I think you should at LEAST grab the 4 blader. I'd grab both.

Yes, 4-blade industrials are cool! I can't wait to get my Encon/CG installed.

I remember theses! They are rare. There was a NIB brown 42'' with four wooden blades on EBay a while ago. It had the same brass brackets as the 56''. They are definitely Indian made but are not Crompton Greaves. It seems that for Stater's, every Indian fan is Crompton Greaves. The brand on the box was something like ''General Electric Company'' if I remember well. It was not the North American General Electric that we know.

I moderately remember that one, with those details I can remotely picture it. I think you're right on the brand too, it wasn't like GE but another General Electric.

According to the gallery, the first generation Caribbean Breeze was made by a company called GE out of Singapore. This could be the General Electric we're thinking of.
