I'm going to Home Depot today to get some globes for the CEC, it came with globes but when the Menards Eros' globe broke I used one of the CEC's globes. Then, ANOTHER globe from the CEC rolled off my work bench and broke, so I'm down to 2 globes . I might pick up a light kit or a remote, I'm not sure. Pic's to come. ;D

I bet you'll find something - Home Depot seems to have a lot of shades usually.

I can't stand that type of light kit... probably because it's one of the easiest to come loose, especially if the fan wobbles. Also it's easily damaged if someone brings it into Habitat. The only one I think I hate worse is the Evergo turtle fixture. Hard to install, and once it's on there's virtually no access to the blades if the fan needs work.

I know. That light kit used to wobble a lot. Then I bought some different nuts and now it's tight.

My local HD has the walk-under CF and lighting display, they added that in 2006, and it's the only HD I know of that has it. We have the same display with that Bronze Hunter for the outdoor display as well. It can't run, as the pole it's mounted on touches the blades.

Very nice pics! My Home Depot looks a lot like that - Dayton industrials on the ceiling, and a walk-around fan display.

One Home Depot here has Canarms. The other has 60" Daytons that are starting to go bad, so they're replacing them with 56" Daytons and 60" Hampton Bays.

I wish they still had the CF catalogs. Home depotmjust started making the tractor brochures again and they're printed on recycled paper so I don't see why they can't make CF catalogs. We should all email Home Depot and address that concern and maybe they'll start making them again. I mean, how much does a CF catalog cost to print? I wouldn't think that much.

Besides cost cutting due to the economy, I think that there are several reasons that could factor in such as the internet being available to most people they can just look it up online as well as get more info and see reviews. Another reason could be many many people have picture phones and can just take pics, eventually those new fangled QR Codes will probably make it on to the price tags and/or boxes. I think the thing is that a tractor is a little different than a fan. Another reason maybe they have to pay a royalty to whoever takes the pics of the fans for the brochures. Just some speculation

Well I guess you're right, everybody does have the Internet and everybody (including me) has a smartphone, but some people just like a physical brochure in front of them.

Yeah, I really wish they still made the catalogs. I've got the complete collection from 1999-2008. 2008 was the last year they made them though...

Yeah, I would love to see them make them again, maybe as I said we could all contact HD and see what their response will be. They also made catalogs earlier than 1999, I used to have one, but foolishly cut it up when I was little. Wish I still had it.
