More fans folks, not a huge haul this time, but they're all really quite good this time around. Nothing in really rough or super bad shape. First is just a sighting, this SMC hugger in our hotel room. Each room literally had a different fan, I wouldn't be surprised if there are still some cool old fans in there somewhere... Batch 1: Units not NIB. Casablanca Four Seasons IT. If Dan is reading this, it is the only fan I found at any of the regular places (Habitat). Nothing remotely cool or old anywhere else. IT does function surprisingly, bearings are done for. This fan came with the AB "medallion" mounting bracket, I used it on the other fans below because the Hang-Tru mounts to a bare box better using it. Blades are just dusty... Originally had one of those funky double ball mounts (using the "post" mounting style) and a LONG downrod. Casablanca Delta II. A Craigslist find, absolutely mint condition other than the bearings which seem a bit dried out, and a few scuffs on the blades which are not overly noticable. Casablanca Victorian. Another CL find, also in fantastic mint condition with partially functioning Slumber Quiet. Will probably swap for three speed eventually...

Which hotel was it? Nice Casablancas. Last time I went the Maplewood store had TONS of cool fans . . . I didnt buy any. It was Holiday Inn (Express???) in Eagan, MN. Some address near Rahn Cliff Rd... Was across from where we usually stay. Maplewood had like two HB things, with the clip on blades, a few huggers, and a new Hunter 5 Minute thing.

The hugger is really a SMC? Hampton Bay Chatham perhaps?...Which are made by SMC I suppose.
Wow nice grabs!
Oh it's your first Four Seasons!
I love the blades on the Victorian. They seem to be the exact same as the ones I have on my Zephyr.

They seem to be the exact same as the ones I have on my Zephyr. Yeah, it was blatantly SMC between the screws which only SMC used, the motor (later black one), mounting (wobbled around in the standard Royal Flush bracket), and the blade tips. I would guess a Chatham... Thanks, I love them all. And yeah, the blades definitely look very similar to your Zephyr blades.

The remainder of this trip's finds: All from one CL seller who had TONS of NOS electrical items from Builder's Square. All the boxes are quite water damaged sadly, but the fans inside are pristine. SMC DC-42 aka Park Avenue II. Two "Forever Fans". One PB model, one white model. Stack motor with flywheel, 4/5 blade. And the grand finale, a brand spanking new Adapt Air Original, obviously of the Archive variety. They've been going down in price where I've been watching them down there, and my dad offered to pay for part of it. Very interesting fans, the cocoa finish is growing on me, which I didn't like much originally, and the "distressed" blades are still as fake as I've seen, but they're not bad either. Honestly, I'm not one for the Archive Original, but I wanted and Adapt Air model badly, and this was much, much less than a Hotel Original. Also got a few more light kits at Habitat. And a couple catalogs.

Cole, I love how supportive your dad is of fan collecting. Tell him I said hello!
My dad, while an awesome father and very supportive of other interests and hobbies, was not supportive of fan collecting at all, other than grudgingly letting me store stuff in his basement once I became an adult. When I was a kid, he used to throw out my stuff when he thought I wasnt looking-- everything from catalogs to actual fans! I had some EXTREMELY cool catalogs that got tossed.

I think it's really too bad when people don't get good support. As young people, we could be doing much worse things than collecting harmless ceiling fans, I get that from everyone I talk to about my collecting, EVERYONE. It's really very true, I'm so busy trying to keep my collection in order all the time that I have very little time to be getting into things I shouldn't be. I believe I remember very early in my times looking at the forums, coming across a story of your dad possibly throwing out some Envirofan blades or something of the sort when you couldn't find them...

I assume you got a pretty good deal on it? ;D Yes, since I posted the Archive price on the other forum I will post it here: $379+tax. Cheapest I've ever seen on a new unit, I could not pass it up at risk of never finding another again. I mean, that's getting into a standard Original's price range and look how valuable those still are, and this is a more limited edition fan, so values on them may shoot up some day.

Cole, you're not the only one who recently got a Delta II off CL.
Mine is AB with a Bowl light kit and it came with a long downrod, so I have to wait to get a smaller one till I can hang it.
I was supposed to get a PB Panama and a mystery fan from a different seller, but our schedules just weren't able to mix and when I went to grab the AB Delta II, he said the fans were no longer available.
