I saw them Tais. I suggest you should write more accurate names in the titles. The dates of the fans can go in the description. I say that because the galleries are made to go automatically in alphabetical order so all the same models can be next to each other if you give them the same name.
I added more pictures too.
Adam is it normal that we are able to edit everyone's pictures?

the problem with many of the fans i find (the sightings) is that i don't know what is their model name and i can't think of every detail of every fan i saw... i am still trying my best to provide as much information as possible.. about the dates, i'll manage it asap
edit: some of the fans that i don't own have their location specified in case anyone is interested to go there and see it... some of them aren't specified since lots of them are in mosques and it's too hard to guide to that mosque since there are many mosques in a neighborhood, i won't post the fans that are in a person's house (except if abandoned or direct relatives or farms)

Well the description is really not needed if you don't know the info of the fan, you can always put in your area, when, where etc. and what characteristics the fan my have, like maybe you will see a unknown fan that may have a Moss canopy, or Evergo badges.. For example..
Uploading, the server allows up to around 1.74mb, even though your computer reads a file weighing in at 1.99mb, the server i have noticed reads files bigger than they actually are, the bigger the more is added. It's a little scam for the hosting services to make money off webspace, i think.. I keep my files under 80kb, and notice when uploading to the galleries they read at 80 or 81kb at times if the file is 78 or 79kb when saving on the computer..

Is there a way to move pictures that are already loaded into a gallery? I missed the Misc/Rarity topic and created an unnecessary category or two (the GGC one for example). I can't really just delete and reload easily because I clear the pictures out of my folder after I load them to avoid loading twice, and I'd have to go back and find it again...

No Cole I think it's great the way you did it. I'm not for the Misc/Rarity sub gallery. I think it's ok to have a gallery even if there only one fan in it. Also there certain brands like Sanyo that might not have sold a lot of different models in the USA for example but sold many more in other countries. Btw congratulation for uploading all your pictures! It's awesome Casablanca, Emerson, Hunter and SMC now have two pages.

Since the pictures in each sub galleries goes automatically in alphabetically order(which is great) I think we should have a standard for how the titles of the fans are written to make sure that all the same models are next to each others. I noticed Rick wrote the size at the beginning which is weird as numbers comes before letters and Cole did not write any size.
I think the size(blade span) should always be the last thing at the end of the fan name/title.

I agree that there should be some standard to a title the Make should be the first thing and then the model if there is one..
I just fixed the settings for the edit images etc.. You can only edit and delete own images, and you can edit own categories, but can delete them, so if you make a mistake when adding a new category, you can still go back and edit the Title and description..
Btw looking good, like the pictures...

I'm still missing quite a few, my download from photobucket didn't work quite the way I wanted, so I missed a few, but I will have to get more later. I don't even know all the ones I'm missing... Also, is there a way to get the company/brand alphabetical order back on track? I'm finding it very hard to follow after all the random ones I added. I don't feel the size of the fan is necessary in the title, this is just my opinion. I think it makes more sense in the description box... If we decide otherwise I can easily go in and put sizes in my titles, but like I said it seems to me it makes more sense in the description.

The company brands i have to go and put them order myself, i can set the categories to go in order but then it screws up the main page and puts those in a order i don't like, so i'll do it manually.. I'll get on that tonight

I was wondering if anyone noticed that in August the galleries, especially the portable fan part grew a LOT. Before August, the portable fan section had only about 28 pictures in total, now it has nearly 90 pictures!
What happened!!? Well Philippe contributed a lot. He had a beautiful assortment of pictures stocked on his computer and one day I went to his place and helped him out to get started with the galleries. He also post a few ceiling fans pictures too. I also added a few more on my pictures.
Since the last issues with the galleries were solved they seem to work really and it's easy to upload a lot of pictures. It would be nice to see some users that were ''afraid'' of uploading pics because of the bugs, contributing.

I haven't noticed, because I haven't been on there really at all lately to be honest. Great to hear that it's growing, actually I'm gonna go take a look now at some point. I've gotta catch up with what I haven't loaded yet as well.
Everything was indeed working great last time I used them, anyone who can contribute is highly appreciated. The bigger the gallery the better for sure. It's great to have as much as we can in there.

I haven't had any issues since I upgraded, and no one has had any problems, which is great.. And if something does come up, I have full support and would be fixed very fast.. I like the Facebook "Like" button and the other social network integration, plus I like the edit features, you can crop, flip and edit pictures you uploaded... I suppose when a new version comes out, it will have more neat features..

Did anyone noticed the new portable fans pictures that were added by an unknown member? They are some really cool fans. A green Sears 16'', a beautiful blue 16'' Panasonic and many COOL Toshibas! Check them out! The member is ''rm499670''. The little problem is that he/she also posted two Sanyo fans and a Hitachi fan in Tais's portable fan collection. He probably posted them there because we had no Sanyo and Hitachi sub gallery. I now created a Hitachi and Sanyo sub gallery so maybe his pictures could be moved there. Also Adam, maybe you could take that moment to put back the sub gallery in alphabetical order. A little comment for Tais, this unknown ceiling fan is a Xeplair Whispair 56'' from about the mid to late 1980s. www.vintageceilingfans.com/membergalleries/gallery/showimage.php?i=970&c=109BTW very cool that you sighted one of theses. They are pretty rare. Was it in the UAE? And this one should be a New Fan: www.vintageceilingfans.com/membergalleries/gallery/showimage.php?i=612&c=109
