I've seen those; they are really cool. Is that one in one of your old schools, Adam?

I never actually got to see one in action in a school, they're all central heating here. There's an Emerson Chromalox (SP?) Space Mod heater on the ceiling in a computer lab near the auto shop at a high school here though, and I want it for how cool it looks.

No i saw this while searching for ceiling fans on C/L.. It's similar to the ones that were installed in the old schools. Schools built in the 1960s did not have central A/C or Heating..

You see those everywhere here in New Jersey. My auto shop class uses the modern ones. There is a barn that my mother goes to and it has some older ones in there. One of them is really huge.

I've seen many different sizes also. I've seen a more of a flat and square model too. I remember seeing the gas pipes connect to them and then go through the ceiling. And always seeing the fan in the back. Funny thing is i've never seen them running, must have been due to the central or Wall AC/Heat units, and they stop using them and never took them out

I see a lot of Home Depot's running these kinds of heaters. At least older Home Depots.

In Washington, these are everywhere, from the huge box models by Reznor, etc. which are common to some smaller, thinner models that look more sleek. I've got a soft spot for the big ones but wouldn't want to own one. Some of the big ones are electric, others are gas.
