Very true Andrew and I thought about doing that, though I wanted to keep it with the original canopy.
Those Moss canopies usually fit over ball/socket mounting brackets, so you could probably still just convert it, then the canopy will cover everything all the way, whereas the J hook might not be covered as the canopy will not go up far enough.
I started this thread to know who has Seen or own any 1990-2001 JCPenney fans, not to talk about the old Moss fans and their hanging brackets. That's not related to the subject in question which is Who has seen or own JCPenney fans from the 1990 until 2001.
This is not the first time I start a thread and Andrew or someone else derail it from the subject I started.
I don't see why people can't change a subject in a thread, it's not a crime even though it can be annoying at times. tho alot a threads through time end up going into a different subject. Moss fans have alot to do with JC Penny fans..

I'll take Perrey's point that it's a bit annoying to get off topic, but that's what happens of forums, topics are discussed and expanded upon. I don't see a reason to start a new thread just to tell someone their Moss canopy will fit over a ball/socket bracket, but that's just me.
Now, lets get this thread BACK on topic and not discuss this further.

A few more of my favorites. As you all know, These Fans from the 1990's catalogs came mostly from Sheng Yuan, Chien Luen Industries and Shell Electric serviced under agreement by their U.S. subsidiaries. Most are custom made exclusively for JCPenney.
