there has been a huge update with my fan storage as i got an explosion of fans this year!!! all the blades are now labelled except the wooden ones and the obvious ones the straight blades are kept in a drawer stacked over each other based on genre right to left: below 56", relite/crompton, miscellanous, indian fans, SMC the curvy and wide blades are stacked over each other based on similarity under the bed regulators and downrods are stacked under the bed as well as drawers canopies and downrodless fans (or humongous downrods) are kept in a corner i142.photobucket.com/albums/r90/black-father/DSC01563.jpg [/img] NIB fans are in their boxes and finally all the ceiling fans are in a room where i used to stay in placed on the bed to avoid scratches and accidents

Here is what mine currently looks like: Ceiling fans installed: 1982 Br/PB SMC Laguna 52" 1990 SMC U42 AB 42" 1993 SMC UB42 PB 42" Most of my light-weight fans are hanging from the ceiling whereas my Heavier fans are on shelves. Blades/Brackets are stored either in the Green cabinet or on a shelf under the workbench. Light kits are in that small Ceiling fan box on the shelf near the glassware.

My dad brought home a 7 ft long crate which made a nice shelf to add things on.

I like that chunky GE Vent.. Whats the make on that? I'm not too sure. really. I would guess some sort of Classic Concepts based on how the piece that holds the motor, hosing, and downrod. The filigree design is different from what I have seen. The top of the motor is painted red, and black on the bottom. I will have to post more pics of it.

I love the chunky GE Vents... I don't see much of them around these parts much anymore.. Always spinners from that era, which I'm getting burned out on..

I will have to get some more pics for you to get an idea what it looks like. unfortunately one bracket was very mangled and when I tried to align it once more, it snapped.

UPDATE AS OF 12/25/11Here's where I store parts and accessories, along with my collection light fixtures: Blade brackets get stored in this bin as best as they can fit. The screws are stored in labeled plastic bags, along with some brackets: Mounting hardware, and some brackets are stored in here: Lights kits get stored in this box: Spare parts are placed in here: Blades get stored in these boxes: Glassware in stored on the top shelf. I have the Four Seasons/Nassau up there to keep it out of the way while it's awaiting a new flywheel (will be a while): I moved the motors to the lower shelves:

More updates: I've gotten less storage than the last update: I started storing spare wire and electrical components in here: All brackets in this bin (with the exception of one set) are now stored in misc. plastic bags I have lying around. These usually come with fans I've gotten. These bags come in handy until I find larger zip-lock (non-gallon size) bags. I put the screws in separate bags, as they're bound to fall out being in the non-sealable plastic, and the possibility of holes. The screw bag stays in the same bag as the brackets they go to are. I'm right now storing two sets at a time in this bag. I always make sure I don't put identical brackets in the same bag. I make sure the plastic wrap is loose to avoid damage to brackets that are wrapped in this stuff:
