You must drive very carefully... I've never heard of any of those vehicles getting that high MPG unless someone drives them very carefully. For a newer mid-size SUV I have to say the low 20's pretty good fuel economy. You'd be surprised what some simple mods do for fuel economy. A big one for my truck is the tonneau cover...it reduces a ton of drag..I average about 2-3mpg less with it off.

LOL, can't do any of that to a Jeep... we would get better MPG if ours had the air suspension system, which lowers the Jeep down at highway speeds to reduce drag... although the drag coefficient is pretty good for a mid-size SUV. However, we do have the "Selec-Terrain" system, which allows you to dial in the terrain you're on (Snow, Sand, Ice, Rock, and Automatic), to alter the transmission shift points and 4X4 transfer case settings to adapt the Jeep for those areas.

Ugh..so many useless assists. The only assist I like having is ABS and even then I can live without it..I know how to handle a car just fine without the computer interfering.

Well since 99% of all new Jeeps are just glorified mall crawlers with "Trail Rated" lick n' sticks on the fenders..they're catering to the idiots that can't drive without a computer to do half the work.

But they're doing what they have to do to stay at the top of the market... they were almost bankrupt 10 years ago and they were thinking of either selling or getting rid of Jeep altogether... but they did what they had to do to keep going through hard times, and they still sold, regardless of how cheaply-made they were.

I'm really worried about what they're gonna do with the Wrangler JL... hopefully it won't turn into what some of FCA LLC's other products have... I've seen spy shots of it, the Grand Wagoneer, and the next RAM 1500, and I'm impressed so far (they were all outlines with the front and rear lights on) but until I see the final product... apparently they're cutting back on passenger cars (discontinued the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Dart) and putting that money into SUv's (Jeep) and trucks (RAM). We'll see where that goes.

Well after a week of us owing our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, I must say I've fallen in love!!! It drives nice, has SO many tech features, and gets pretty good fuel economy! Today was the first time we've put gas in it since we got it, and the dealer didn't even give us a full tank of gas, so it's pretty good on gas!

My parents aren't much for "trucks", though my dad has a Ford for work. I told my dad he should've requested a full tank, but then again, we got a week on 3/4 tank and my dad drives a lot, so that just goes to show that we didn't really need a full tank.

The Kia dealer I got my truck at gave it to me with a quarter tank so I walked in and told them I wanted it filled, which they happily obliged and filled my tank.

They don't keep gas in cars at the dealers for some reason... it was also like that years ago when we got my mom's BMW... it was almost on 'E' when we test-drove it for the first time.
