Haven't seen any ceiling fans in grocery stores in years. Maybe a few Industrials here and there-but I’m not an industrial person so I never really cared for them.
I can remember few local stores in the Chicagoland area having a variety of Dayton-Laskos in all sizes, there was one store that had maybe a dozen of them. No two were on the same speed. They were all on random speeds as if controlled individually. A few others had some Emerson Heat Fans and Casablanca Classics. I’m fairly confident those stores are long gone.
But I do recall back in the early 1990’s Jewel-Osco sold ceiling fans, there were only two or three. A basic 1990’s white 42” hugger with a school house globe, a antique brass 52” 5-cane bladed hugger and a white 52” five blade vent less housing dual mount with a four spot light kit. Not sure of the brand but they were very Encon-esque. They came in a not-so-Encon box though.

I started to do a new thread but found this old one.
Ones I remember: Kash N Karry stores used to have a row of white/PB Hunter Summer Breeze 4 blade fans (I think) over the bakery and deli counters. It kind of angled around and there were lots of them. They were removed when they moved the deli bakery in the early 2000s remodels.
Winn Dixie: They usually had 36" industrials of some kind in white over the deli and bakery area. Sometimes they would have white four blade spinners instead. They also tended to have a fan over the fish counter sometimes, usually a white Hampton Bay Landmark 42".

There was an older thread than this.
Pick N Saves and their sister stores often have Gold Lines or Silver lines. Some of the ones that were formerly Copps have Daytons over the checkouts. Some that were formerly Kohls have/had Originals or HRSes over the produce. Kohls had Gold Lines when I was a kid.
Woodmans sometimes have Westinghouse industrials over the checkouts. They usually have Daytons in the back rooms.
Cubs had Safer Made Contechs over the checkouts. I've also seen Cubs with Daytons JUST over the freezer section which was odd to me.
Piggly Wiggly has Daytons or Airmasters usually.
Sentry stores usually have fans, I've seen TATs, Carroways, Canarms, Contechs, Envirofans, pretty much every brand of industrial.
There was an IGA store when I was a kid that had Contech looking fans with a thicker housing. After what Reece and Aidan found I think they are TNTs.
A lot of small town grocery stores have Dayton Laskos.
Walmarts often have Westinghouses, HRSes, or Airmasters (Crompton Greaves version) over the checkouts.

A lot of the Big Y stores here have some sort of Goldlines.. Unfortunately in some of the older stores the ones that have failed are starting to get replaced with modern garbage industrials that don't move any air..
At the Stop & Shop there are 2 small Dayton(?) industrials in the entrance,, no fans in the store..

We have none of these I don't count Walmart (which we do have) as a grocery store, but ours has nickel 52" Kichlers in the Subway (3 of them), and 2 non-Leading Edge 36" or 48" Daytons over the produce section (both the Kichlers and the Daytons were installed when Walmart opened in 2011), and one that was installed in 2012 or 2013 that, oddly enough, WAS a 48" Dayton-Leading Edge. Must've come from another store that they closed and they had it as leftover surplus. I find it confusing that there's a Kohl's grocery store AND a Kohl's department store. But if you told me a Kohl's had fans, I'd assume it wasn't the department store.

I saw a picture of a brand new Publix and it had dark 5 blade outdoor fans at the front covered area but I couldn't tell what kind.
I have also seen newer Winn Dixie stores with white 5 blade outdoor fans over the produce out front. Usually five or so but the ones with the curved glass front just have two.

I have a few: - A Shoppers that I went to once or twice had 4 or so white fans over the salad bar. That Shoppers closed about 5 years ago and is now a Brick Bodies. Wish I could remember what the fans were. - There was a Mars that had a single black 52" builder fan of some sort in the front. It was still there as of last year when Mars went out of business. The building is currently vacant and I haven't checked to see if the fan is still there. - There's a Grauls that I go to a lot that has a Hampton Bay industrial in the front area that used to be a Hunter Summer Breeze. It was replaced a few years ago. - The Giant that I go to all the time has two Dayton/Leading Edge industrials in the lobby, both are always running on high and have never been cleaned since the store was built about 8 years ago. - Sam's Club has a single Dayton/Leading Edge industrial over the photo booth. - I did go to a Big Y when I was in CT a few summers ago, and they had several GoldLines, all of which were running on high in reverse.

I went to that Graus and saw the HB Industrial and I remember I think it used Hunter mounting. That store is very cool, lots of 1970s stuff, especially around the deli and bakery and seafood areas, unless they've changed by now, which I doubt since it's not a chain (just a few stores) they've changed. The Superfresh out my way had 12 white Originals over the checkouts, and 2 more on long down rods over the salad bar, but when it became a Mars in 2011 all fans were removed, now half of the place is an Aldi. Tried to get those Originals, Superfresh kept saying contact Mars, Mars kept saying contact Superfresh... nope, to no avail. I remember there was a Giant near me (now a furniture store) that had what I think was an AB 52" Coastal Breeze over the customer service counter. They took it out a long time ago. There's a Costco (similar to a Sam's Club) near me that had several 4B GEV 52" things over the checkouts, and a white/PB cheap 52" 5B GEV and a 5B HB 52" Landmark in the snack bar. We might be talking about the same Sam's Club (White Marsh, MD) with the industrial. I went there a few times with my aunt. The BJ's my dad goes to opened in 2015 and has no fans.

The unknown ones are too far away to tell what they are. The other ones aren't Hampton Bays, but are generic outdoor builder fans.

So I guess I should update: * The first Shop Rite I mentioned that had the Hampton Bay Farmingtons and Click-In Fans was extensively remodeled about 2.5 years ago, and all fans were removed, as they switched the bakery/deli and dairy/produce sections on opposite sides of the store. * I haven't been to the second Shop Rite I mentioned in about a decade, but it was extensively remodeled just like the first one about 8 or 9 years ago, so I'm not sure what kind of fans are currently installed in the store, if any at all. * The third Shop Rite I mentioned with all of the Emerson huggers still has all of them installed, although one has been replaced by a 44" white Hampton Bay Hawkins (the one without a light kit). * There's a Shop Rite I haven't mentioned that has 56" black Craftmade Velocities installed all over the store (the older style that looked more like a Dayton/Marley/Leading Edge 56" Industrial, NOT the new Velocities). The bakery has 2 white Hampton Bay Quick Connects. * I guess it's sort of a grocery store, but my local Wal Mart Supercenter (opened in 2011) has 3 Dayton Industrials over the produce section: one Leading Edge-made 48" model, and 2 of the current-style 36" models. The Subway had 4 nickel 52" Kichler Sterling Manors, but that was recently remodeled, and they were removed. At least the Daytons are still installed in the produce section. * I forgot about an Amish market near me that has a bunch of early 2000s 52" white 5B Thomas builder fans with filigree installed throughout the store, but builder vents. They also have one or two 52" white Broan Europas. Due to all of the fans being installed on 2ft down rods, the blades are messed up on a lot of the fans, and they wobble a lot. * Half of the independent local grocery store I mentioned that used to be a Super Fresh with 5B 52" Hunter Classic Originals (the independent store removed all of them when they remodeled the store) went bankrupt and shut down, and half of the store is now an Aldi, which of course has no fans installed (the store was divided in half for Aldi, and the other (smaller) half of the store is still vacant, and up for rent). * I haven't been to any of the grocery stores I mentioned in Ocean City, MD recently, except that they both closed and at least one of them was rebranded as an Acme. I'm not sure if they remodeled, and/or removed any of the fans installed from the previous tenants.

My local 2006 built Walmart has some baf wickerbills there was also an hrs above the photo center that fan is long gone. our old 1997 built Kroger has some curved blade industrial in the employees only section most likely an smc made Hampton bay. Another Walmart 2004 built had an hrs industrial above the photo center that fan is long gone there were also daytons in the entrance also long gone. The local 1996 built Meijer has a lone 36” hrs industrial in this area with a sink and a couple 48” HRS’s in the dairy section
