Here is a fine 1915 General Electric 78777 'three-star' oscillator fan. Three speeds, 6-wing brass blade, brass cage, quiet smooth operation. This fan is the Cadillac of it's time. One of my best fans.
These fans are scarce. Finding one such as this with no magnetic motor noise is not too heard of.

Well, I found a Wizard Breeze Box and a JCpenny (Lakewood) S10 in the trash. The Lakewood has a shattered grill and chipped paint. The Wizard is rusty, has big dents, and needs a major cleaning. They both run. Great Restores!

Here is my latest fan. This is a late 1890's Westinghouse 13" table fan, also known as the "Tesla" fan. This is the only known fan to list Nikola Tesla's name on the motor tag in the patent information. The fan has two speeds but no speed coil. The motor is designed to run in parallel for high speed and in series for low speed. A unique design for it's time. The fan, as stated above, has an unusual 13" blade. These go for about $2500 in price.

Here is the rear view of the fan. Note the large open vents. These fans have very heavy wagon-wheel style rotors. Very simple yet elegant design for something around 110 years old.
The fan DOES work on both speeds but it needs to be rewired.

Just a 1980's 12" Sanyo. Got it for free after restoring a panasonic in working order at a thrift shop. Interestingly, the blades are NOT brown, but rather a mix of brown and purple
