Almost bought a Wally-wart (sorry, Walmart) Holmes fan in green. I say almost because the box was open, and guess what? There was no fan! (Not to mention there were few other alternatives on the shelf). So I reported it and left.
Today I'm using my desk-clip fan. I like this fan a little as it can tilt back a full 90* degrees. And my dorm is so small, it circulates the air without a disturbing breeze. Great when the A/C is on, even better when I turn up the thermostat to kick in the heater at night.

Since the weather cooled down here I havent been using many fans. I only have one running at the moment and that would be my Sanyo box fan right next to my bed.

I have been using this one for 3-days now in addition to the ceiling one. it's a Ku Hsing KSD-1151. It replaced one of my KSD-1167 twins that was too noisy at low speed. (It hasn't been prepared for normal use yet.)

The clip on my clip fan broke. It basically started to weaken at certain spots around the base and then one day I come back from classes and the fan was on the floor with the clip in three pieces. Not sure what to replace it with yet…thinking about a box fan (P25 Lakewood maybe?) but it won't be for awhile. At least not until next school year.

I've got both of my cheap mini fans (Cool Breeze and Room Essentials) downstairs running.

Westinghouse Tesla, still cranking. No heat rejection from the motor at all.
