my storage shed, and took out my sept 2006 i bought then my "home essentials" made bye SMC one of the last porable oscialtators from SMC so i feel speical it the basic core design has nto change in the 90s but the switch on this ones on back instead of push buttons, it has steep blade pitch very good for modern day fan, the blades are more office balance then 1999 one so is her my smc fan list 6inch 1999 desk fan 12inch 1999 12inch desk fan "perfece bearings great down time 12inch 2006 Home esstials decent down down time not as great as my 1999 but really good still i like SMC fans
