You love S.M.C.s? In my home Country, S.M.C. portable fans were unique., Shell Electric allowed this store Jose Garriga Hijo, Inc. www.josegarriga.com who happen to be S.M.C.'s agent since 1960 to sell fans outsourced by them as S.M.C.. These S.M.C. fans were exclusive products not sold outside Puerto Rico. Check this 18-inch Model TH-W8009 from 1995. When It originally came out, it was the biggest seller of all S.M.C. fans offered for 1995. At a cost of $139.00 it wasn't cheap. After 1998, the store discontinued this practice and started selling the same portable S.M.C.s sold in the states until the fire safety recall, which lead S.M.C. to discontinued all portable fans. Jose Garriga Hijo, Inc. Still sells the full assortment of S.M.C. ceiling fans and light kits.

$139?
That's close to Dyson's hoop fan..which I'd hate to see in an industrial or office setting mounted on the wall.
