A King of Fans 76 cm high velocity pedestal fan a friend from Illinois, USA sent me. It's located in his factory, the same with the brown NuTone Prolines ceiling fans. At a friend's chalet located in the Estrie region of Québec is this 2012 Forest Air 30 cm box fan with rotating grill in the bedroom. I slept with it placed in the window once. In the basement of the chalet is this early 1970's Super 30 cm desk fan stored away. It would need to be cleaned. I imagine it hasn't been used in a long time. It's rare to see this version with the regular back grill but with the old S only Super logo. Notice how the motifs on the base are different than newer versions. It also has a metal tag on the back of the base that the newer versions don't have. In a church in downtown Montréal, the same church with the red painted New Fan, is quite a selection of portable fans. Near the entrance on the floor are theses two Seabreeze Turbo-Aire 30 cm. Wow, two next to each other! The one on the left is damaged. Closeup of the one on the right. This one is a little damaged too but not as much as the left one. Near the Seabeezes is this recent Vornado. Close to the autel is this recent Hampton Bay 45 cm pedestal fan. In the same area this late 1990's early 2000's Duracraft 40 cm pedestal fan. On the floor near the autel, this Lasko Wind Machine 50 cm. At the back I found this all plastic made Lasko 40 cm desk fan. Enjoy!

All of those fans at the church seem to be remarkably clean.. Unusual to see a place that actually keeps up the fans..

All of those fans at the church seem to be remarkably clean.. Unusual to see a place that actually keeps up the fans.. Yes that is true except for the Seabreezes that had more dust. Those are more difficult to take the grills off. I visited this church three times lately in a short amount of time and every time most of the fans were moved from where they were previously.

Here are some sightings accumulated since August. A vintage turquoise Electrohome 50 cm box fan with three metal blades and two speeds at Village des Valeurs in August. I tested it and it seems to worked fine. There was a big different of speed between the two. The low was very calm and silent and high was very powerful. It takes a long time to speed up completely. Does someone knows the age of this? I would imagine mid to late 1960's. In September, still at Village des Valeurs, this early 1970's Super 30 cm desk fan that Philippe A bought. It's in very good condition and very clean. It's very similar to the last one I posted last time I updated this thread but the design on the base is a little different and the blue on the blades is darker and more intense. At a local swimming pool next to a park where I used to work in 2010, they have this 1980's Torcan 50 cm box fan in a sorte of vent-window that seems to be present especially for the fan. It was there in 2010 and it's still there today. When the pool is open they use it. I love the shape of the five plastic blades. Apparently this was one of the last fans Torcan made. They came in many different colours and some are two speeds and other are three speeds. Here are two very nice display fans at my local Canadian Tire. They had other fans on display, not only these two ones. Yes, they finally sell these high tech Rowenta five bladed fans here too. Normally they are seen mostly in France, Germany and the United Kingdom. I love the five transparent turquoise blades and the chrome grills. It reminds me of older fans. They are apparently super quiet but I haven't seen one on yet. They also sell the desk fan version. ... And yes that is a Seabreeze Turbo-Aire you saw at the bottom of it. As weird as it sounds, this demo model has the speed switch on the top like on pre 2000 models again and they changed the cord a little bit. It's now black instead of gray and the outlet contains a fuse. The image on the box still shows the fan with the speed selector in the middle though. At Université de Montréal, two offices in the library have these mid 2000's Super 40 cm pedestal fans. Notice the later design but still with the classic Super logo and the nice gray rounded blades. These were some of the last Super to have the classic logo. Enjoy!

The first box fan is probably 70s-80s.. They kept that style for a while..
That blue Super desk fan is nice!
Those Torcan box fans are fascinating to me.. I love the design of the hub with the fins to draw air through the motor.. If it ever becomes convenient, I'd be interested in seeing more pictures of that fan..

I don't see those Torcans box fans very often. This one is located in the employee only building of the swimming pool.

Last week I was in Toronto and I saw a lot of cool vintage ceiling fans. I will post them soon in the appropriate thread. Near the University I saw a building that has two of these brown Xpelair XX150 15 cm exhaust fans installed in windows. It's only the 3rd time I see Xpelair in Canada in person. They are of course more common in Ontario, especially near Toronto because that's where the mains distributors are located. On page four of this thread you can see again the one I posted in the summer 2014, the one located at my old high school. We can see the brown is very faded by the sun. Does someone knows the age of this one? I would imagine late 1980's. It has green blades. The other one is installed in the window of the story right above this window.

Here are a few more. Sears is currently selling these nice all metal Bionaire 30 cm desk fans in two different finishes. Antique copper and I think the other on is brushed nickel or chrome. Recently Village des Valeurs had these two early to mid 1990's desk fans. A Windmere 18 cm oscillating. The version with the chrome grill and a gray center. I had one with the white grills and white center bought in 1996 at Distributions au Consommateur. There other one is this very cute white and gray Super 15 cm none oscillating. I have the all white version of this from the late 1980's

The Bionaire fan is very nice looking, with the exception of the logo in the middle.. Although on the loud side, fans of that style seem to last a reasonable amount of time..
I like both the little Windmere and Super..

I like both the little Windmere and Super.. I used to have the Holmes version of those reproduction metal fans from 1999 before it became popular to have them. It was loud indeed but I liked it.

Two more portable fans at a friend's house that I posted pictures of her fans before earlier in this thread. I was missing pictures of these two. A good old classic 1990's gray Super 30 cm desk fan. I have the same in 40 cm from 1997. A very cheap and very recent Facto 40 cm desk fan from Rona. They also have two pedestal version of theses like you can see on earlier pages of this thread. Someone threw away this cool five bladed Airworks (Super) 40 cm pedestal fan from the late 2000's. Although the blades they have are very cool and it seems in very good condition, I didn't saved it. I don't have much of space for pedestal fans.
