the 42'' banvil is tested and working. not shure if i'll keep it, because the fans are not sold. i had to remove somes of the fans hanging, dissassemble some of them, put in box, on shelves in the store. now left on the display.
canarm eclipse. smc windsor airworks park avenue copy. the 42'' banvil.
*the little twister gone to the scrapp. and the smc gone in a box i've re-hung above my counter the walmart fan

399th comment, who will be the lucky one to get the 400th one?? so... let's starts with the fans. month sighting! lol. the pictures of the first one are from december 2010 so. 88th fan, maybe a nadair, don,t remember exactly, the fan was 4/5 tested with only 4blades. and scrapped it because it was too yellowed. *interessting mounting.. 89th one, is the walmart fan the brackets reminds me of a casablanca artisan... 90th fan. was a banvil, from 96to99 i don't remember exactly. so i've plugged the fan. the light was working and the pull chain was popped out. the reverse switch was scrapp, and the fan wasn't working. so i oppenned the switch housing to find a burned and explosed capacitor. 91st fan. banvil 42'' i'm sure the light kit is not original to the model. [img src=" i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac4/davidg_95/SDC10525.jpg"] 92nd fan rusty and not working. canarm or nadair. 1984 46'' four seasons venair brown galaxy ceiling fan. with light kit. ceiling fans in the store, airworks is sold. smc and twister are in boxes on shelves. i got a projet for that... i want to change the place of the fans... Home collection golden ash box. this fan was sold at canadian tire, around 2004-2006 and the last one... my new kichler catalogues. i got a 2010 and a 2011one. with my 2010emerson will get a 2011 soon

Am I the only one who can't stand pointed tip blades with C-brackets?
I think the "Walmart fan" is actually a Sears, made by Litex... could be wrong though.
That capacitor looks like it exploded quite violently. Never seen one that bad. Have you tried replacing it or was it too damaged to read the values?
I love three-way light kits... I wonder how many people actually know how to use them properly (by putting two lower wattage bulbs in the first two that light, then two higher wattage bulbs in the second two)?
The Canarm/Nadair could also be a Crest. Not sure that I've ever seen one with five blades before.
I like the light kit on the Four Seasons even though it doesn't match the fan at all. Are those shades real lead crystal?

congratulations to Jw, who got the 400th comment on the thread!
in the big banvil, i was able to put of a lot of wires, and i had lots of things to change, so.... i'll get other good fans.
the ab fan... for me it's a nadair... maybe a copy of an american model. jean will probably know.
for the venair, the light kit is Pb as the line on the motor. and no. the lights shades are not real crystal. well...

Jon I never thought of that about the bulbs wattage for the multi ways spot light kits. Good idea! For 5 socket light kit it was more evident though.
91st fan is really a Banvil? It look like a late 1980s Nadair Designer.
The 92th fan can't be a Canarm or Crest but there chances that it would be a Nadair. Is there a sticker on it?
46''? It's 48''. I thought that beautiful Galaxy came without light kit and still had the screw filling the hole in the center? Would would you ruin it by putting a light kit that does not match it at all? I hope you kept the screw that fill the light kit hole.

#89th is from J&P Enterprise, Co., Ltd. I have one NIB. Very good construction not cheap at all except for the MDF blades.

jean, the 91st is really a banvil, there was a tag on the motor. from 1989
there was nothing on the top of the rusty fan. no informations on this one...
for the galaxy, i take a thing to measure*forgetting the name. and count 46. well, maybe it was another version? or they are really 48''?
