Yeah another childhood fan acquired and in my favorite finish! I finally have a 36'' polished brass spinner! Its exactly like my neighbors and it have its original globe. ;D This fan is as old as me. Its also my first fan from the 1990s. I did not know Promos could be that old. I thought they were more mid to late 1990s.

Thanks everybody! Did anyone noticed that SMC's polished brass have a different tone than most of other tones of PB which are always very bright and yellow. This one have a darker yellow tone and less flashy. A little bit more on the dark chrome side. Or a little bit like if the brass was smoked. Unless its just that particular Promo that turned like that? But if go through the pictures and stop at the PB fans you might notice that some of them are not exactly the popular flashy and bright yellow tone we usually see. www.smc.com.hk/fan/index.htmYou can compare the tone of the brass with my Panama for example which is soooo flashy yellow because its brand new so not tarnished at all. BTW for the Promo I did not know theses were THAT POWERFUL!!!!! Its INSANE! RPM's must be around: 120/200/300. It moves ton of air! But get this, the motor is so SMALL looking.

I noticed the darker brass, but I thought it was the pic. Looks a lot like Hunter brass to be honest.

Now that you mention it, my emperor huggers do seem a bit darker, that smashed up A-52 as well... Yes, all Hunter PB is darker than your traditional PB, and I really like it that way.
