I'd like to have confirmation when possible. We've operated on theories for decades and some have been wrong.

Might as well add mine. I don't possess the talent many of you do: being able to look at just about any fan and guess at manufacturer by design feathers. Most huggers and spinners and GE-vents that aren't a big brand are just huggers and spinners and GE-vents to me.
One living room: First fan my parents ever bought. I had no say in the purchase. 52" PB hugger, oak/stencil, 5 blades, footprint vents. Call it a childhood fan - I like it - but I don't love it and I'm not looking for more of them. Later modded with a a-plus-center kit with hex beveled shades. (Put hex shades, pref. no arms, no center light, on an AB oak Zephyr and I love it)
Other living room: Another fan in which I had no say. Bought in the last, oh, eight years. Essentially a knock-off of a Casablanca Artisan; what brand, I have no idea. Dark bronze-y finish, dark walnut blades (the Artisan used oak, and got the 'Craftsman' look a bit better). Has the bowl light with the amber mica panels. The light kit is mostly ambient, but it's quiet and it puts out a good breeze.
Kitchen: Our 2nd fan was here. Bought when I was 12 at Pay'n'Pak, a defunct Seattle-area chain. It was one of those fugly white fans, no vents, black perf. band, black blade irons, 4-light black bullet spot. I hated it, my mom ended up hating it, but my dad LOVED LOVED LOVED it, so it was what we got. The bullet spot fell apart. We replaced it twice; each quickly fell apart. I was never happier about trashing a fan when I threw that thing in the garbage!
There are two fans in here now. One is an AB/oak Craftmade Max-Air. I had no say in that one, but I don't hate it. Craftmade are by no means great fans, but it does move a lot of air. That hangs off to the side, over the work island, and has a single fitter with an antique schoolhouse shade.
The other is a... well, I don't know. One of those Moss-like things with a non-rotating housing with an open top, spinner motor inside, with top-mounted blades. This one is PB, footprint vents, tapered switch housing with an integrated fitter, in which I've got another early-1900s globe. I swapped the cheap-looking oak/stencil blades for walnut arch-ends, unknown brand.
Office: Brown blenderfan motor, to which I added 52" walnut/AB Casablanca Classic blades. Has an AB fitter with a 1930s Art Deco skyscraper globe.
Laundry room: Dunno the brand. 20", white spherical motor with integrated white light bowl, three tiny white plastic blades integrated into the housing. Cheap Craigslist find, the only thing that'll fit in there, and a real boon in the summer.
Back porch: Two fans. One unknown-brand GE-vent, bell canopy, oak blades. Other is a black/wood 36" Hunter Original that I use in the summer when I'm grilling out there.
Front room of my pseudo-museum: 36" AB/oak/cane Winco, var. speed, bell canopy, very ornate GE vent.
Also: 36" wood/cane, white/PB Encon Crompton-Greaves, plain fitter w/ big cut-glass-looking sphere globe. Original wall control. Spins like a helicopter on high!
Main room of my museum, three fans: First, Harbor Breeze Rotaire-type, bought on clearance because it was cool. No cage on this type. Dark brown motor, three wide walnut blades, rotary three-speed switch atop the motor. I generally consider Harbor Breeze to be junk, but I love this little guy.
Second, Monterey Fan. Co. Homestead "Monterey" knockodd, AB/blond wood, 29" with four wide blades. Light kit has eight tubular arms with angle-cut ends revealing 25-watt bayonet base bulbs. 3-speed reversible, nifty tiny fan!
Third, the crown jewel of the collection-- The Grand Duchess, by the Eagle Fan Corp. of Lufkin, Texas. A really top-notch replica of a LeVelle Fan-Lite no. 16 by Mid-West Chandelier Co. of Kansas City, which used a chandelier by the Cincinnati Ornamental Brassworks.
I only collect fans I have places to hang. If I find a new one that I love, I either sell it to someone, give it to Dan, or take one down (rare) and put it up. The only things I'm still after are a Casablanca Broadway Ltd. and a Casablanca short-scroll New Orleans Centennial (pretzel-bracket style). If I find the latter, I'll put it in place of the Winco.

Then in that case, my collection consists of all but three: the living room fans and one in the kitchen. The Craftmade could be argued; they knew what they wanted, but I steered them toward something.
I think my dad grew to hate that 2nd fan, the b/w spot-light thing, over the years. At least he didn't love the horrid mauve ones Pay'n'Pak also sold! (A local kid I knew, who was not into fans per se, picked out a mauve fan for his room. It was hideous)

Don't listen to the post above, I'm 99% sure that he researched wrong. If you want to be banned, keep it up. Once again, we are addressing the situation. If you threaten to have one more person banned, you're gone yourself.

The 1986 SMC F42 sounds cool. That's an early Park Avenue it seems.
The CEC Coral Breeze and the Moss too.
I hope you post pictures one day.
I agree with Cole and I have to say that at first I thought that we had to be collecting to be accepted here hence why I joined late.
