Cool those DAK fans which are basically the first versions of the Canarms around the mid 1970's. By the way I see that the generations needs some clarifications as they are a lot of confusions with them judging from what you posted here. That has been fixed. Many of the links do not lead to the ad or the ad was removed. This would likely be due to age (some of the fans posted were near the back pages of Kijiji). What's up with all the ugly recent Hampton Bays. You like all of these? To a certain degree, many of them are nostalgic... Interesting those fans with the Fanelite name on it. Normally Fanelite is a ceiling fan company that sells fans for the French overseas territories. Fanelite was a company I was unaware of prior to seeing the listing. Yes I'm sure the Hunter Belle Meade was sold in Canada. Why it would not? Two words - market size. While Hunter certainly distributes their products in Canada, often selection proves somewhat limited when compared to the United States... I WANT that NiB Vic. For real tho one of you people needs to get it. I would likely prove the candidate for that (considering it is located in my home province of British Columbia). However, its cost is on the high side of things, as the fan fund is not infinite after all. It takes too long to look at all of these! Well they are a lot of links that are not working and many Hampton Bays so skip at least the Hampton Bays. Wow, thanks guys
Why are these never seen here The combination of soft-pointed blades and stencil is strange.

Most of those Hampton Bays are very recent.
Don't compare Canada to the United States.
Those Encons are not seen in the west because they were no Réno-Dépôts there at that time.

Don't compare Canada to the United States. You asked me a question, and I responded... Those Encons are not seen in the west because they were no Réno-Dépôts there at that time. While there certainly were not any Rona stores in British Columbia at that time, Encon products were distributed here since the early 1990s.

At the time these Encons were sold, Réno-Dépôt was not part of the Rona groupe.
I find it ironic how some provinces of the west had Home Depot before having Rona. It shows how they are more attached to the US than to Québec.

You mean between the western provinces and Québec?

That is a decent price. A TAT-made Canarm, likely the earliest version of this model: These were also sold in the late 80's and under other labels... I love these. Yes, this is worthwhile. Pictured sideways, this almost appears foreign. How loudly Seriously, that appears to be a rather bizarre combination of parts. Notice that the blade bracket color differs from other sections of this fan. That is one horrendous CFM rating! This has already been posted in the past. That is a stunning combination. Why 1998 specifically? I need to install mine one of these days... It looks too cheap in my eyes. That Canarm GE-vent spinner is beautiful! That SMC Park Avenue is likely mid-90s given the bright brass finish. These were sold up until 2003?

Possibly. My late 70's/early 80's wood-bladed Wilcorp spinner uses a stamped motor, though this is not to say that cast iron would prove an impossibility for these fans.

In the right install,, I could see these looking nice.. But on their own,, I don't find them particularly stunning..I do like the gloss blades,, but otherwise this isn't really my preference in style..Wish they felt the same way about the fan it controlled..The install is pretty strange also..Not fond of those irons.. They can stay in Alberta! How much do those retail for new?Are these any good? I've never been too fond of Monte Carlo..Beautiful! Especially for a Harbour Breeze! What is that? It doesn't even look like 10 cents in my opinion..Do these also have the infinitely-bending irons as many of Hamilton Bay's Quick-Connect fans do?I do believe you have a typo.. Its actually 58"..I like this a lot also,, but I do think it would be even better with a set of oak and cane blades.. What have you against brass fans with white blades? This appears to be a link to a search,, rather than a specific fan..Not sure about those curved vents..A very nice classic!

In the right install,, I could see these looking nice.. But on their own,, I don't find them particularly stunning.. In general, I would concur. However, this is an older variant with hardwood blades! Wish they felt the same way about the fan it controlled.. The fan could have been listed, then sold... How much do those retail for new? These would not have been sold for an upwards of 15 years. If I were to guess, somewhere around $129.00. Are these any good? I've never been too fond of Monte Carlo.. I reckon yes. The Kendal Lighting version, is sturdy and moves a decent amount of air (speaking from experience). In general, Monte Carlo is hit or miss, although many of their newest products are far from excellent. Beautiful! Especially for a Harbour Breeze! Keep in mind that "Harbour" Breeze is completely unrelated to Lowes. It was actually a brand sold by the now-defunct Canadian mail-order catalog Consumers Distributing. What is that? It doesn't even look like 10 cents in my opinion.. That would be a Canarm Cosmopolitan, which was not a cheap fan (price-wise) by any means. Do these also have the infinitely-bending irons as many of Hamilton Bay's Quick-Connect fans do? "Hamilton" Seriously though, I have not the faintest clue. What have you against brass fans with white blades? Nine out of ten times, it simply looks cheap in my eyes. Plus, many polished brass Wal-Mart fans included white blades

In general, I would concur. However, this is an older variant with hardwood blades! And the newer ones came with, softwood blades? The fan could have been listed, then sold... I suppose this is very true.. At least I hope it is anyways..
many of their newest products are far from excellent. Typical..
Keep in mind that "Harbour" Breeze is completely unrelated to Lowes. It was actually a brand sold by the now-defunct Canadian mail-order catalog Consumers Distributing. O! I thought it was a typo for the Lowe’s associated brand..
Nine out of ten times, it simply looks cheap in my eyes. Plus, many polished brass Wal-Mart fans included white blades I do have to disagree,, I think it looks a fair bit less cheap than a plain white fan.. However I suppose it would be reasonable to dislike that which resembles Wal-Tart’s cheap offerings..
