I just got a new portable fan on Monday. It's a General Electric oscillator. 12" fan with 5 plastic blades and an OSHA type cage. It's beige. It also puts out a lot of air, a bit loud.

I'm assuming those are plastic blades. Nice fan..circa 1970s maybe? Those cords though look scary. I have an early 80s humidifier with that kind of cord..the thing has so much calcium build-up around the impeller I'm afraid to even run it, or use CLR on it. Hey! Someone should start a post on these old things, provided anybody still has old water blowers.

Yeah, he said the blades are plastic. Nice fan, I find these ones really interesting.
