Hahaha! I agree. But I still haven't found the missing hardware for my Barcelona-Tatung spinner. Plus, this current setup is wired perfectly: light switch controls light only. The Barcelona-Tatung fan would've been wired to where the wall-switch controls both fan and light, and I don't like that idea. But I'll have to see if I can rewire the spinner. The spinner would be very easy to rewire, just shove a blue (or whatever) line down the shaft. Also, converting that thing to ball/socket only requires a few bucks at Home Depot. It's not the ball and socket that's the problem..it is the top of the motor..the part where a cotter pin goes is gone. I think it just gets put in place by three screws. My dad stupidly removed the blue wire out of the fan, mainly because it was too short. I'd give anything to replace it at this moment..I love the fan. (Though 52" does a helluva job circulating air compared to 36"..though the B-T is FAST)

Okay. UPDATE:
Dad decided on a solid "no" for the spotlights. Yes I know this is coming in late- the last 10 months have been very busy for me.
So, I wrapped the shades in a sheet of aluminum foil. This does a few things-
1) It acts much like a flashlight, aiming the light in certain parts of the room (the corners). 2) It keeps light off the ceiling, and aimed where I want it to go, thus having a pseudo effect on brightening the room. 3) It just looks cool when the fan is on.
I also rewired the spinner, though it won't see duty anytime soon. I'm off to college in August, so I won't have time for anything ceiling fan related.

Neat; do you have any pics of your new spotlight set-up?

Let me find 'em. Edit: I couldn't find them, so I took pictures. My parent's took two of the cover's off when I was out on vacation. And they stuck in a bulb on the side without a cover. I used to have only one bulb (incandescent with these covers looks a heck of a lot better. The florescent on the uncovered side there is for soft, non-focused light) in the fan that lit up one corner of my room. Here:

Nice! The foil must help a lot to direct the light to one spot.

You know, for a Harbor Breeze, this fan still runs (should I be surprised? LOL)
I think the brushed nickel version looks better than this.
