My uncle lived in a house in Lenexa, KS (about 15 miles south of the Kansas City downtown area) that had a timed and very noisy attic fan before he moved out of it in 2004. The house was old though..circa est. 1940-1950. He didn't keep up the maintenance on the house though..the main bathroom had what was once a plywood wall with no tile (thank my grandmother) that was rotted away and moldy..and the kitchen floor just behind the fridge (I think) was very spongy..from the dishwasher flooding or something. The driveway was hammerd out, and the basement had the nastiest cobwebs I've ever seen. The backyard was not fenced (other houses were) and back in the 70s there was a creek from what I've heard..before it became an irrigation canal or drainage sewer. There was also some woods behind the neighborhood that was pretty nice. I'm glad he moved out though. I wonder what happened to the house..probably remodeled or knocked down.

Okay, here we go: Here's the Sears attic fan in my house. It is tan, and has never been repainted, so the finish is original. This attic fan is from the early 1980's, since the house was built in the 80's. Here it is: [a href=" "] [/a] Here it is on, sorry its hard to see the blades: [a href=" "] [/a] [a href=" "] [/a] And here is the control. It has a variable speed control, and a timer to keep it on for the selected amount of hours: [a href=" "] [/a] Enjoy!

i agree with cole... actually my great uncle(same one who has that attic fan(shown on very top pic)>>>his daughter/son in law also has a attic fan too(but stupid me forgot to take a pic of it on last time i was there ,theres looks 99.9% exactly like rick's(same style/type shutters and same size 3 bladed industrial blades,motor/direct drive type but theres is snow white colored shutters and no the industrial blades are not cane nor stencil..lol just plain like yours..lol and theres do work infact they use it like all the time doing spring/summer/fall and they live in missouri and used to like from 80s though pass the year 2000,they go though all those years WITHOUT a/c in their home(no joke),they usally use the attic fan, ceiling fans..etc(they got use to it) till recently, they FINALLY got a/c now...lol my parent's old house they lived from 1977 till may of 1986,that house had an attic fan too(same size as the one in brother's house)but shutters are white too and had timer control too....
