I had one of those black and white 5 blade fans with spotlights and perforated sideband. It was in my neighbors sunporch and it was dated 1991 and she gave it to me. I got tired of having it around and sold it.
No I haven't really seen those newer Laguna type fan here. I think the last of the Lagunas that were 80s style were probably sold in the late 80s here or maybe very early 90s. We did have some that were relabeled Atlantic Air. One of my neighbors had one in the bathroom that they used to replace a brown late 80s Laguna. Those type of fans were sold at Kmart but I think they had vents, so they were not really like the Laguna.
Then they came out with the Grayton I, but I'm not sure exactly when they sold those. I know Home Depot was selling them in 1998.

At one time Kmart had like 6 different kinds of 36" white spinners with mushroom globes, all labeled Atlantic Air and Global Winds. They were SMC, CEC, Alaska, maybe some others.

I like the SMC in black. There's an AB one identical to that one over at my Habitat, but without the integrated lights.

I like those 4 blade SMC Park avenue but my favorites on them would be the Clover tip blades with stencils or the pointed tips with cane but I like that black one too. I seen a white version of that fan some where.

Ooh, that square thing is hideous. It should be four blades to complete the square look. Mmm, minty. You have to love the 90's here. The last one is interesting. I can't decide whether I like it or not.

Wow are those fans having an Ugly Contest?
The ring lights up.
I have always liked white/brass/cane. As a child I saw tons of white/brass/cane Encon Monarchs.

Wow are those fans having an Ugly Contest? The ring lights up. I have always liked white/brass/cane. As a child I saw tons of white/brass/cane Encon Monarchs. Ahahha I know they are so ugly but the idea that the disc lights up is cool and 3 pulls without having a downlight is cool too. But the white & PB one with beige tight wave cane and 5 blades looks nice and its RARE. Especially with those skinny vents. At first your not sure how old the fan is. If you take off the blades its 1990s but those blades are mid 1980s so obviously the fan is from the late 1980s. Makes sens. Its balanced. In the USA the ceiling fan boom was in the 1980s but I think in Canada it was in the 1990s. ;D

Interesting . . . Yeah I like the white/brass/cane. Emerson? Gulf Coast? Definitely not Emerson we don't have theses over here. I have no idea about Gulf Coast but it looks too new for being a Four Seasons Venair. Four Seasons Venair was one of those short lived company. They were bought by Canarm around 1987. They were making fans during the late 1970s to mid 1980s.
