The building probably contains asbestos. I wonder if we should get permission to go in there to rescue the light fixtures and vents. If so we may have to sign a contract stating if we fall and break our neck we can't sue.. this way will be difficult, #1 to find the right department #2 convincing them, which may not be difficult.. What a shame this shopping plaza is going to be torn down, only in America where history is not preserved...

So, you want to try to get permission to go in, or would you rather go in when there are openings? we may need a ladder

I wouldnt even know who to contact to try n get permission. If we knew the day demo would begin we could also just wait til they plow some openings

Maybe the people you e-mailed? Usually a few days before demolition all doors are open.. I think we'll need a ladder this time

When they remove the harmful stuff, they usually keep the back doors open... The old Publix here they kept the doors open a few days before they started removing..

Adam, i jus drove by there again today and nothing to report, still looks the same as when we last went there, which was recent so no surprise. I'll let you know if i go by there again and i see that the property is fenced off or something, that means they're probably getting ready to begin demo.

That's too bad. Would've been nice to save the lights and vents.
