Upon further Blender Fan observation, I see now that they do have the lower canopy, which I never realized they had. Interesting to know.

Per Andrew's suggestion I have "Brassified" the blender-fan instead of just repainting it in the factory color. (which is the same color as rustolum "biscut"{the name of the color} plaint) Does anyone Know a good match for emerson's dark brown? I would also like to know If there is a good match of hunter's chesnut brown? here is the picture:

Now that you dissembled the Moss WF Series I can see what the motor inside looks like. I different from the motor my Four Season Top Mount fan have. Its also skinnier. Mine is a Made In Taiwan generic direct drive shaped thick motor. www.hansenwholesale.com/ceilingfans/bestfans.aspJust like the 188mm show in that chart. The Potomac with 6 blades does not looks so bad but 4 blades is always better. And the finish could really pass for a real polished brass done by the manufacture. But it looks more like burnished brass.

If I'm not mistaken, my WF's motor is even skinnier than that. Maybe that lower canopy throws off the shape for me, but I think it looks thicker than mine.

Troy I still want that blenderfan if you can ever produce pictures of it.
I like them the original brown, although I cant wait to see the brass one put together. What are you doing to the blades? If you stain the plastic woodgrain blades they look more like wood. Or you could make a wood set in the shape of the fiberglass ones, that'd be better.
WF serieses use a pancake-type motor. Very slim. I'm sure they're all the same size. Codep used the same motor, and some TAT's.

That pancake motor is the same as the one of that TAT/Kando hugger that Andrew have? ada19851985.proboards25.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=fans&thread=2777&page=1

I stained the blades of the Potomac. one side is light oak the other side is rosewood the brass blender-fan is installed(in place of my brass Charleston for now) first with original blades. I think that they are too light. I tried darkening them it did not work(they are why the rest of the motor looks so dark) then I put extra 42 brass Armitege blades on it rosewood side down and I used the broken Armitege brackets as badges. fan is now 40" but moves as much air as my 52" lady delta I like them the original brown, although I cant wait to see the brass one put together. What are you doing to the blades? If you stain the plastic woodgrain blades they look more like wood. Or you could make a wood set in the shape of the fiberglass ones, that'd be better. Dan the brass one was made from one of my 2 white blender-fans. The finish on one of them was in bad shape I was going to just repaint it in white but I like Andrew's idea of making a brass blender-fan. (I still need a match for the almost black dark brown used on friction drives plastic Emersons and blender-fans so that I can make a touch-up the finish of my friction drive and 36" blender fan. any suggestions?) WF serieses use a pancake-type motor. Very slim. I'm sure they're all the same size. Codep used the same motor, and some TAT's. They are probably all 188x22mm motors like mine. no it is like the one in this tat.

Oh, you have pics with the original blades in this thread. I like it with the original ones, though they don't match very well.
John is correct about the WF motor, it's thin, picture an Airmaster industrial motor, but painted black and slightly different shape.

I like the original blades better too.
Never seen one of those motors opened up before.

Since every one wants the original blades on the blender fan I took the 40" blade set of the motor. I then pianted the original blades brown and put them back on the fan. I also took a picture of the potomac assembled.
