I went out shopping and walking in downtown Montréal today. In a store located in the Village where they sell decorative items from various parts of Africa and Asia, there are four Hampton Bay Industrial 60''. I thought they were all on their second highest speed but I saw their 4-speed sliders and they were all on speed ''1'' which is full power. They push an insane amount of air but obviously because of their insane pitch, they don't spin that fast, they work on pitch. I use the flash to stop it. ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/Ceiling%20Fans%20Sightings/CeilingFansSightings001-5.jpg) In Old Montréal, in a souvenir shop where they sell theses funky T-shirts of all kinds they were four of theses vintage early 1980s Nadairs 90cm just like the three bladed brown one that David have at his thrift shop but in white with four blades. Notice they seems to have a different canopy. When I saw them from outside, from far it looked like some Crompton Greaves canopies but theses are obviously not Indian fans so it's probably one of theses Taiwanese canopy like my old Guibb have. In the 1980s, Nadair used a lot of mixed parts (Both Taiwanese and HK made) so it does not surprise me. I knew I saw theses in a four bladed version before. ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/Ceiling%20Fans%20Sightings/CeilingFansSightings003.jpg) ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/Ceiling%20Fans%20Sightings/CeilingFansSightings002-5.jpg) Excuse the dust. Hehe! It was a pretty hot day, about 28°C in the shade so I was lucky that they were not spinning. In that same store, there was also a white late 1990s Encon Industrial 90cm. I could not get a picture of it because it was right above the cash. It was also install very close to a wall. In another souvenir shop of the same kind was this 1980s ivory 4 Seasons 140cm with three metal blades. Exactly like the ones that are at my local Jean Coutu pharmacy. My flash would not get on here because of the abundant fluorescent lights. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/Ceiling%20Fans%20Sightings/CeilingFansSightings004.jpg) ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/Ceiling%20Fans%20Sightings/CeilingFansSightings005.jpg) They was also two other white 140cm fans with generic bell canopies and three metal curved blades. They appeared to be some of theses rare late 1980s Canarm 4th generation. They were too close of the cash unfortunately.

Neat sightings! Yeah, the first time I saw one of those Hampton Bay industrials, I also thought they were on a medium-ish speed, but it turns out they were actually on high. LOVE that 4-blade Nadair. ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)

On page 7 of this thread, you can see more pictures of the same model but in a different location. Like all 4 Seasons, theses are made in Taiwan and are more related to DEMC, Commander and Synlix Electrical.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I'm always surprised to about the diversity of ceiling fans with four metal blades in Québec.

At a house where I do some gardening work there is this early 1990s SMC Royal Flush 107cm in white & polished brass with stencil blades. It's installed outside on a covered patio in the backyard. For a ceiling fan installed outside with wood blades and being about 20 years old, the blades are in amazing condition. The stencil is just starting to fade and the brass parts are a little tarnished and dirty. ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/Ceiling%20Fans%20Sightings/SMCRoyalFlush2337.jpg) This little covered patio seems recently renovated so it might have been created somewhere in the eight last years max and the fan was moved from the inside to be installed here which would explain why it's still presentable. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

Do they ever run it? Doesn't even look all that dirty... I only worked two days at that house and so far and I haven't seen it running. Yes it's not too dirty but the brackets have some rust, one is almost greenish, one have a little spider web and there is a little bit of rust on the switch housing.
