I went back a few weeks ago to get a better picture of that 4 Seasons but it was worst! I could barley even see the fan on my pictures. I think it's when it's cloudy that it does so many reflections on windows. All the whiteness of the covered sky. Also maybe the snow adds more whiteness reflections. Both of the days I went to take pics of that fan it was completely cloudy. Next time I go there I will try to choose a sunny day. If the snow does not help well it's half melted by now.
BTW it's not really a bakery but more a little restaurant.
The best time to get a pictures where we would see the fan clearly I guess it would be at night when the restaurant is still open so there light inside but it's dark outside.

Two weeks ago my sister moved into a bigger apt in Longueuil. She was previously in a smaller apt in the east in Hochelaga in collocation. Now she moved in a bigger apt and she is not in collocation anymore. She now have privacy with her fiancé. Last Thursday I went to the Hochelaga apt with her to take down the two fans I installed there last summer to bring them to the new apt. In the lobby of the new apt in Longueuil there's this 42'' bottom mount spinner in white & polished brass and stencil blades. I'm guessing it's a very early Canarm Galaxy from about the early 1990s. The pull chain on the left is broken. ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/CeilingfanssightingsJune2011001.jpg) Theses are the two fans that came with the apt. An unknown polished brass hugger 52'' from 1988 in the kitchen. ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/CeilingfanssightingsJune2011002.jpg) The blades are a little bit warped, it's missing a shade, it's dirty and the brass is tarnished but it works very well. It moves very good amount of air for a hugger. It also have a pretty big motor. My sister did not liked it so I took this one down to put the 1986 red 4 Seasons 42''. It was the first time I dismount a hugger. In the smaller bedroom there's this recent Canarm Twister 30''. The 1984 4 Seasons Galaxy 36'' could have went there but she needs a light from the ceiling in this room so the 4 Seasons Galaxy came back to me. ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/CeilingfanssightingsJune2011003.jpg) In the larger bedroom was nothing so of course I finally installed her the awesome Encon Jewel I got for her last Christmas. She loves it! Because the shades are so dark, I put four 40 Watts B type clear bulbs. It makes a beautiful and mystic effect with the clear bulbs. Surprisingly it does NOT wobble and barley makes any sound anymore! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) In December I oiled it. For the past 6 months I kept it stored upside down so maybe that's what made it quieter. For the wobble, the blades seems less warped down. Maybe because they sat for six months on the top of a shelve so they warped back to the correct side. Also it's installed on a real ceiling and not a beam so it has less chances to wobble. ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) I don't know but it works super well. ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/CeilingfanssightingsJune2011004.jpg)

Friday-Saturday I went to a friend house outside of Montréal and there's theses three fans in his house. A very cute SMC Laguna 36'' in a stairway. It has the older style of canopy so it must be a model from around 1993-1994. It was on low so I turned it off to take the picture. This particular one was surprisingly very quiet. ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/CeilingfanssightingsJune2011007.jpg) In the living room there this 2000s white Nadair Contempara 42''. It was also on low so I turned it off for the picture. ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/CeilingfanssightingsJune2011005.jpg) In one of the bedrooms there's this 2000s SMC/Super/Airworks 42'' hugger in dark chrome like my sister had in her Trois-Rivières apt. ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/CeilingfanssightingsJune2011008.jpg)

That PB hugger looks like it is (was) a real work-horse.

The hugger I stored it in a closet in my sister apt so can put it back after when she will move out and take the red 4 Seasons with us. I will write you in the appropriate section for the Craftmade and Moss.

Sorry, I've been looking but didn't reply. I like that Laguna, it's cute for sure with the mushroom globe, and I'm glad your sister likes the Jewel, and also glad to hear it doesn't have too many issues after you got it installed.

Two polished brass 4 Seasons Ge vents 52'' in a restaurant in downtown Montréal right next to the Sherbrooke Metro station. They were both on low. I'm pretty sure it's the 1985 version. I've got the 1984 version in antique brass and the 1986 42'' version in red. Theses are basically just like the 1984 version with the wide teak & tight wave cane blades and chunky switch housing but with a filigree sideband instead of plain. Beautiful shades on theses light kits! ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/PrideWeek2011002.jpg) ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/PrideWeek2011003.jpg)

I really like those fans, particularly on that length downrod. A great vintage install there.

I just came back from a little two day vacation in Saint-Sauveur. In the bar of the hotel where I stayed was this late 1980s Nadair GE vent 52''. ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/Saint-SauveurAot2011001.jpg) It has been a while since I had a hotel room with a ceiling fan! Yes they had ceiling fans in each bedrooms. A Hampton Bay Quick Connect 52'' on a 4-speed slider control. I was very suprised with the quality of theses compare to all the bad things I read here about theses. It was extremly quiet, totally wobble free and moved pretty good amount of air for what it is. What seems really cheap on theses it mostely the construction of the blades and brackets. The brackets seems easy to brake and the blades seems always a little droopy on theses. This one already had it's blades droopy. This was my first experience with a Hampton Bay. ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/Saint-SauveurAot2011002.jpg) A poker room had a Westinghouse Xavier II 44'' ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/Saint-SauveurAot2011005.jpg) In the village of Saint-Sauveur: A small shopping center had this beautiful unknown mid to late 1980s ish 52'' GE vent. I love that it has theses brackets. ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/Saint-SauveurAot2011008.jpg) A restaurant had about four of theses UGLY things. They are either Kendals or Monte Carlos. Anyone know exactly what they are? ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/Saint-SauveurAot2011010.jpg) Another restaurant had a funky mixture of fans. This late 1990s Nadair Designer's Choice 42'' in verdi in the main room. It have a crooked bracket. ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/Saint-SauveurAot2011011.jpg) Upstairs was this late 1980s antique brass 42'' GE vent. I'm pretty sure it's a Nadair. Anyone know for sure? The install is very weird as you can see. Install in the peak of the ceiling OVER a beam. We can really say the poor thing was stucked there. Also it was on full speed so it was wobbly because of the air bouncing on the ceiling too close of the blades and the beam too close. I had to use to flash so we can see it's blades. ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/Saint-SauveurAot2011012.jpg) Downstairs where the ceiling was very low, was an Encon Chili Pepper 42'' with an amber bulb in the light kit but I could not get a picture of it. It was also stucked, installed in a corner of the room with beams near it. The restaurant also had a porch with two of theses antique brass late 1990s Nadairs 42'' spinning on medium or high with yellow light bulbs. You can see the blades are a little bit droopy because they were installed on a covered semi-closed porch. ![](http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj89/Jean2291/Saint-SauveurAot2011013.jpg) I also saw a few portables fans that I will post in my portable fans sighting thread.

Very cool sightings! Did the Chili Pepper fan have its original globe? Thanks. Yes it did. It was pretty weird looking with the pointed amber bulb. It would have looked better with a red or green bulb.
