None of these are the pointed motor type I was referring to. I was talking about these:

Just to clarify, the TATs don't really count as pointed motors either. They're round with a nut, another concept entirely aside from plain pointed or plain round motors.

I went to Plateau Mont-Royal yesterday. Another Subway had three antique brass Canarm Grand Builder with the nice glossy blades, detachable switch housing and this time with their decorative pull chains. A Spanish Grocery store, I've been to before and wrote about it here have this brown 4 Seasons Industrial 90 cm. It have three straight blades and a flat canopy. It's probably from 1981. The first time I saw it in December 2010, it was spinning slower, this time it was on a fast low speed so I'm guessing speed '4' on the regulator. That same grocery store have a GE vent antique brass fan with four oak and can blades on a white ceiling fan mounting with a generic bell canopy and lower canopy. A fancy Polish restaurant have three of theses gorgeous antique brass 4 Seasons Victorian 107 cm. You can see the one at the back still have it's two yellow tassels. The third one is one the right of theses. They are the 107 cm version of the 132 cm one I have. They got to be from 1984 then.

Not so much lately but yesterday I did something interesting. This picture date from late October when I went to La Ronde (six flags) for it's last weekend before they close for the cooler season. It was the Halloween weekend. In the little «Far West Town», I saw this Banvil Bronze Line 140 cm in a restaurant. The install is pretty cool. Notice that they are two versions of the Banvil Bronze Line in this size. One with this motor that looks like a motor of a SMC K56 but thinner and one that uses the same motor as CMC fans. I prefer this version here: My local Sears have this 90 cm Industrial in one of the lobby. I though it was a Canarm CP36 but apparently it's a Banvil. It appears to have a Banvil sticker on the side of the lower canopy. It was installed around 2001-2002 when the store when through major renovations. It used to be an Eaton before 2001 in place of that Sears. This picture dates from early November. Yesterday I went to visit an abandoned industrial place with my father. I think it used to be a cement factory. It's not too far from where I live but not as close as the small building where I got the small Banvil in 2009. The place have many detached warehouses of different shapes and size. Most of them made of corrugate steel, falling apart, with holes in them and pieces of wall missing. Another one was a double garage with low ceilings with nothing intresting inside. Another was a bigger garage made of bricks so still in good condition leaving the inside not exposed to the weather. Before entering I looked through one of the window of the garage door and I saw four white curved blades on a dark ceiling. Wow! I went inside and I saw two old spinners. An early 1980s 4 Seasons 140 cm. The blades a little twisted and it's dirty. There other fan was a three blader. It appears to be a Canarm first generation 140 cm. The motor is rusted and it's very dirty. The problem is that theses fans are about 6 m in the air. The big garage have a room where the ceiling is much lower and there was a 50 cm five blade box fan suspended from the ceiling. Another room which I guess was the office, have a dropped ceiling with 1970s fluorescent fixtures. The windows are blown out but the droop ceiling still looks like new. Usually the humidity attack theses ceilings in no time. I guess the windows were recently blown out. I have some photos of the whole place if some are interested. They were some interesting graffiti on some of the buildings.

That Bronze Line install is really cool.
I like the others too, especially the abandoned ones.

Last one looks like Evergo/Union to me. Yes, yes it does. Jean, just because a fan has been re-labeled as one brand does not mean that ALL of them have have been re-labeled.

Last one looks like Evergo/Union to me. I have a 16' A frame ladder for problems like this! The firsts Canarms were made in the same factory as Union and Evergos. I was thinking about renting one of theses very tall A-frame ladder.
