I like the Sears the most. I've heard of Super Electric. I saw a few on sale when I went to Canada.

I used to have a 1980s desk fan with 4 blue blades but I sold it on eBay. Sad that you sold it. Those are extremely cool looking. Do you remember the brand? It was probably a Japanese brand like Panasonic, KDK, Sharp, Sanyo or Toshiba. Have you ever seen this video?: www.youtube.com/watch?v=lM-8U3X8Rok

Nice collection, Trevor. I'm beginning to accumulate a few more desk fans myself. Brass bladed fans are just great.

hey thanks! The fort wayne is completely changed but for the better. I finally broke down and got a dremel...works WONDERS on cages. Its nowhere near what the pro's out there do but its lookin so much better. I'll get pics as soon as possible. The pancake I've been using nightly and believe it or not barely gets above room temperature.Wasn't sure how it would fair, but evidently they knew what they were doing in 1904 The R&M tank oscillator is out of commission due to a cracked blade (came that way) Oh well...someday someday.

Here are the ones I current have: Super-Electric 12'' Desk fan. Not sure the exact year of this one but its definitely not over 1994 and not below 1992. So I'm pretty sure its from 1993. Very quiet running but the oscillator is broken. Super have made this fan up to 2004 or 2005 and cammed out in 1990. The later ones had gray blades, mine have dark blue blades. We currently don't use it since I'm repairing the oscillator. Color: light gray and dark blue. 1985 Sears 18'' Desk Fan. This fan is an heritage from my grand-father. He passed away on December 19th 1999 and he bought the fan in August 1985. It have a slow start and squeak a little at the start but once it reach it speed it runs fine. Very slow on low and on high its almost like if the fan would take off in the air. I'm sure the motor needs grease and/or WD-40. My grand-Father have use it SO MUCH. Even in the winter I think. Its funny its like if the speed buttons colors were: Vanilla, Caramel, Cafe Au Lait and Chocolate. ;D Color: ivory and brown. Dam I should have took these pics during the day. My flash makes horrible pics. If you wants more and/or better pic just ask me. I also rote what are the real color of the fan because I took these pics without flash at night. jean could you take better pics of the super and the sears??im philippe a(tu me connais je vis a laval).i have the same super but the blades are gray
