Key Largo never made close mount fans, to my knowledge, but it is possible. Monterey is a good guess.

That's not a close mount, just a big canopy. Maybe it's one of Key Largo's last models. It's cool, whatever it is.

It's clearly a close mount canopy, many of them can also be mounted with a downrod. If you remove the downrod the canopy screws to the top of the motor. Palm Airs are like this.

I don't know what are Monterey's and what they looks like but the blades and brackets on it looks a lot like a Key Largo. The canopy is actually just a really large canopy not necessary a close mount but it looks much more like a Lasko canopy.
I also think that fan could be a later model. Especially if the canopy is original to the fan. Mid 80s?

As far as I recall, only Emerson, Fasco, Key Largo, and Monterey (which may be connected with Key Largo) used those blade tips. JW?

Evergo dumbbell blades are close, and SMC had a wall controlled spinner that used a much more pronounced version of the tip. However, this fan clearly isn't an SMC, and it looks nothing like an Evergo.

Oh, that explains why my fan's canopy is so unusually large... Is the size of the hole underneath the canopy the standard size?

It might be a catalina. I've seen those 60 inch catalinas and they have the same brackets and blade tips, and the vents are similar too. maybe this one is a smaller version
