For those of you who don't know, I'm an avid gardener. Living in a 3rd-floor apartment, however, makes it tricky. So, I do the best I can: Well... Dear darling dumbass momma bird decided to build her nest in one of those hanging baskets. And the little bird bastards decided to hatch today: I'm going to wait till they get just big enough to make some down-home chicken parmesan out of them. I hate birds. I hate all wildlife. And I really hate things that poop in/on/around my plants.

i remember when i was little i try to kill the baby birds and my mom gets mad when i done that, but i'm not like that no more,i found the wild birds trapped in my pop and nana's chicken coop(chicken house) way back in the 80s when i was young, and i try to grab them and when i get lucky to catch them, sometimes i kill them(i did kill 2 of them, some others i let them go outside from chicken house..
i remember i went to a friend's house and birds build their nest INSIDE my friend's ceiling fan motor housing in the hugger ceiling fan in their back porch..
i agree pierce when it comes with bird poop,so gross! one of the birds did that on me before,i was pissed enough i want to rip that bird's wings off..
however i love birds and wildlife(but not as pets or nest in or around my home and the pooping..

You know what I find irritating? People who don't know how to SHRINK THEIR FREAKING PICTURES (or at least crop them) before posting them!!!

You know what I find irritating? Did anyone ask? People who don't know how to SHRINK THEIR FREAKING PICTURES (or at least crop them) before posting them!!! Again--I, unlike you, have a 20" widescreen digital flat panel, with a native resolution of 1680x1050. I can see that image just fine. If you can't, either (a) buy a bigger monitor, or (b) stop moaning about your damn 1st-world problems...you can use the scroll bar just like everyone else.

Sorry I'm not just loaded to the gills with money. Shrinking pictures is common courtesy on a message board, and some moderators have limits as to how large of a picture you can post without it either being removed or automatically shrunken. That's not even considering that some of these giant pictures take megabytes of data - the one of the birds alone takes up over 967K. I have DSL so that's not a problem for me but it will KILL the computers of some slower users.

Sorry I'm not just loaded to the gills with money. Neither am I. But it's alright, I forgive you. Shrinking pictures is common courtesy on a message board One of the main reasons that I don't do it is the fact that most pics here are used to show detail. The smaller a picture is, the less detail you can see. If you want to zoom in on something specific, you can't do it with a small image. I don't pre-chew your food for you, neither do I pre-shrink images for you. Deal with it. If someone wants to see a big image, they're SOL if it's pre-shrunk to start with. If, however, someone wants to see a smaller version of an image, they can easily do that for themselves (right-click the image, "Open image in new tab", and then you get that cool little cursor that lets you shrink it so it fits in your window): ...and some moderators have limits as to how large of a picture you can post without it either being removed or automatically shrunken. Well, that's not the case here. In fact, where were you when one of our moderators uploaded the image in this thread?: ada19851985.proboards25.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=lightfixtures&thread=1176676234&page=1I'm done with this. It isn't worth discussing any further. This is, by far, one of most "1st-world" problems I've heard someone complain about in a long time. If the best you can do is complain about too-big digital images on your computer, perhaps you should take a vacation in Darfur?

Why don't you just move the birds nest? Or don't put so many plants on the balcony?
If they are pooping on the cars, maybe you should park them somewhere else?
You know what bothers me? Lovebugs. They smash all over the car and you have to scrub the goo off. They are a LOT harder to remove than some bird droppings.
I think this thread should be deleted; it's a pointless argument.

It is common courtesy to shrink photos to a decent size on message boards. I do it anyways because it makes the threads easier to read and better looking. It is not required. Just keep in mind, if your pictures make your thead annoying, probably no one will read it. I didnt read most of this thread here.

That's a little mean don't you think? You do have very violent thoughts. another thing about birds i dislike is when they "chirp, chirp" in the morning when i'm trying to sleep and they wake me up Well, maybe you should close your windows, or get better insulation. It's really not their fault. ...Anyways, concerning all of you and your "picture size dilemma", Photobucket has "clickable thumbnails". Your picture that you post up will be a thumbnail, at around 300 x 200 pixel image, and if you click on it, it will link you the full-size image in your gallery. If you want to post a picture with detail, and is huge, this will solve all your problems. People with slow internet connections will know not to click on it, yet can still see the picture, while if you want to see the detail in the picture, you can see it full-size. Select pictures: Click "generate HTML and IMG codes": Third box down has links to the clickable thumbs: Examples:
