I am very saddened to announce the passing of a very valuable member of the fan community. Jim Lindsey, an engineer for FASCO for 36 years, died July 7th of a heart attack at age 63. Jim was very active in the American Fan Collectors Association, and collected primarily FASCO fans from all eras. Jim was not specifically interested in ceiling fans and I doubt was aware of our communities, however he was overjoyed to hear of anyone interested in FASCOs of any type, and was always forthcoming with information, company literature, and anything else he could turn up. Jim was extremely generous and friendly, and will be greatly missed. More information, posts, and pictures: www.fancollectors.org/anyboard/anyforum/posts/27029.htmlHis obituary: www.fancollectors.org/anyboard/anyforum/posts/27057.htmlEven though I havent spoken to Jim recently, I feel a profound sense of loss. I will treasure the FASCO fans he gave me. Dan

Shafarah, did you ever have the opportunity to meet him? He was quite the guy. Some years ago he gave me some FASCO memorabilia-- shirts, caps, catalogs . . . I wish I still had it.

No unfortanely I didn't. I wish I had. But I'm still a little upset about untimely death, though.
