When I get back to school in September, there will be, up for grabs, a 36" off-white Emerson 1895 series ceiling fan. Model CF3036WW. From 1986. Newer style metal canopy. 3 speeds, reversable. Pull chain replaced in 2003. Comes with photocopy of owner's manual. Works fine. Blades reverse from plain to gold stencil. K55 motor in perfect condition. Comes will mounting hardware and screws. Comes with NIB 4-speed Emerson wall switch. Email me, lord_pierce@yahoo.com
Make it a great day

I thought the 1895 series fans had four speeds.

No, those were the Sears models (Turn of the Century and whatnot) that were four speeds, as were the equivalent Laskos.
For that matter, some of the non-sears models may have been made 4 speed, but not the particular line that we're talking about. For the record, I've never seen any.
Pierce, I still have that antique brass 42" fan. Still want it?

There were two phases of production for the 1895 series. The first, the fans had 4 speeds and the blender-fan-style canopies. Later, the fan was made into 3 speeds with a generic canopy.
Yes, I still want the 42" Antique Brass, but I'm broke for the time being. Please hold onto it, I'll contact you as soon as I have come cash.

The ad I have was from 1983. That must have been the first phase.

I have (somewhere) an 1895 series with the old canopy and three speeds. Also, the 1986 literature I'm sending you shows fans with the old canopy and advertises three speed. So I suppose there was some variation.
