I have a copy of this ad, and another similar ad for the same fan, where it lists a brand other than "Panama" as making the fan. I'll scan it.

I wonder how many of these they sold. This was average ceiling fan price now, but back then it was vey cheap, compared to the other fans that were being made, both in the US and imported. However, it was really too noisy and impractical to be of any use that I could see.
This ad was quite interesting, however.

adam d has that fan like that(just the motor and arms,no blades) it's gear driven,it's in his gallery

way back when i was little,me and my family went to somebody's house(haven't seent them sense then) i don't remember their names) but i remember the location they lived in and their fans,they live in joshua,texas and they have like 3 36" white plastic blades blender fans,52" emerson fan(don't remember the modul off hand),and that fan in that ad(that gear driven one) i remember i play with all those fans way back then,i turned on that gear driven one,MAN!!! it queeks/noisy REAL BAD,i turned it off fast..lol
i make sure i never get those like if i seen it in garage sale,estate sales in future,i just won't get it

I've never seen one of the fans installed, or for sale, or otherwise outside of the ads and online. If I found one cheap I would pick it up.

fanman-i don't know,i turned it off fast(it didn't have a chance to run full speed all cause i turn it off quick) cause it squeeks so bad
