You guys know those extremely large close mount canopies, the kind commonly seen on Laskos and Palm-Aires, among other brands. Are fans with these canopies collectible simply because of the canopy?
At Habitat, a great many fans come in that have these canopies, and nothing else about the fan is out of the ordinary. You know, GE vents, four or five blades, filagree sideband, three speed, etc . . . your basic GE Vent builder fan but with the large canopy. I usually put them out for sale.
Are they worth picking up, are collectors interested in these fans? Right now there's
1. 42" Almond Palm-Aire, 4 stencil blades, small GEvents 2. 52" Antique Brass, unknown brand, GE vents, pretzel blade arms, five cane blades 3. 52" Antique Brass Palm-Air, 4 stencil blades, GE vents 4. 52" Polished Brass same as #2
And different ones every week.

yeah I'm interested in those fans. Especially with the fan with the Pretzel blade arms and the GE Vents. I'm very interested indeed since it is my favorite type of fan. ;D

If there is a way to get just the canopy then I'm interested... No sir. Unless you want to buy the fan for the full Habitat price (the money goes to them of course) and jsut take the canopy.

Hey Dan I would like the one in the Antique color and I have to see how my money's looking. And Sean I'm still interested in that fan and I have to wait to see how much money I have before I get it. So I'm thinking about it.

Well then... What is the "full Habitat price" then Dan? Usually quality fans sell for $20-30. Fancy looking ones go for $30-50, and junky builder models go for as low as $5.
